How to identify two unkwown salts?

So I have an laboratory exam tomorrow in chemistry, my worst effing subject ever. Although I do listen in class and kinda do my homework, I still have so much trouble with it...

Anyways, tomorrows lab would be to identify 2 unknown salts. That's all I know. Maybe he will give us some information needed to solve it. Any ideas on what I would need to do? Please keep in mind that it should have something to do with stuff like heat, enthalpy, calorimetry (WTF IS THIS!?) Q=MC DELTA T, Hess and some other stuff I can't remember at the moment.

And I still have trouble remembering all this crap :[!

Would also appreciate if I can have some examples!

there should be different properties for both salts
such as when testing reactions with other substances

Most probably the makeshift type that high school students use which involves styrofoam cups and thermometers.

Chemistry isn't my best subject so I can't really help much here. I do think you need to take note whether it's an exothermic or endothermic (exo= heat loss/releases energy, endo= heat gain/absorbs energy) reaction.
