How do you think the world would end?

  I don't think the world would end because of this but I think it would be the dark ages all over again..
  If we use up all of our nonrenewable resources.
  
  As for the world ending, I don't believe it's going anywhere anytime soon.
  But in worst case scenario a massive asteroid hits us (which may not completely wipe it out)
  or of course since the sun is at its final stage (red supergiant)
  it will eventually die, but that wont happen for a few million years.

  Supposedly, in one billion years (instead of 5 billion years), the sun will be so hot and close to the Earth that the Earth will become inhabitable for any life form.
  
  In around 3-5 billion years, the Andromedia galaxy will run into the Milky Way. It may or may not have some negative effect on the solar system. Although, the sun will destroy the Earth way before this happens...

  Anyway, the typical is the sun, nuclear warfare, that black hole somewhere in the Milky Way IIRC, everyone on Earth gathering to one spot and jumping at the exact same time which will cause us to move out of Earth's orbit a little and crash into another planet...

  end? it won't ever end, it's an endless cycle of energy filtering through the universe. who knows whats on the 'other side' when our own lives come to an end.
  
  surely it won't be on this planet.
  
  maybe the whole galaxy will implode. maybe humans will develop too much technology to the point of breaking some fundamental law, causing some sort of supermassive black hole that sucks up everything as we know it, causing another big bang, and another couple gazillion years of evolution all over again.
