maybe some 1337 pro life skiller was ready and had his whole guild ready to get him mats?
You never know
or maybe.... no
Because guess what? There was 6 other swords still available. Nothing to see here people, just players raging for no reason. Move along.

that's why there is alpha and beta testing of the patches, so in a sense that should have been done BEFORE it came out publically.
Technically, this is an outrange :S
And how often do things go wrong after weeks to test it?
Who cares? Maeby confirmed that it's working as it's supposed to on an alt. If she was abusing it all over the place, that could be problematic, but it was a test. Just because you weren't the first is no reason to whine.

The GM could spawn two swords of Elsinor, with 74/5 upgrades (when normally 0 are possible) and make them shoot lightningbolts out her ass if she wants.
A GM is not a player. If they do actually play the game, it is as meaningful to them as playing solitair or minesweeper. They don't have to grind levels, use passes, or even worry about money/ap whatever. There is no corruption here. They are employees of Nexon, doing their job. If that job happens to be "marketing" to let players see what the item looks like equipped, so they get hyped and want one of their own, so be it. If it involves testing the item out, to make sure that this implementation in this sever worked... so be it.
Really now. Even if somehow some massive guild had a rk1 tailor and a legion of newbies/pros all set of farm sheep/theatre missions like mad to get one of these gloves on the first day, and a sword... there are 6 more they could have picked from. And if, even more absurdly, somehow 7 of these gloves were all made on the first day, and one unlucky pro was unable to get his/or her sword I'm sure GM maeby would have given hers to that player, or they could wait a few hours for 7 more to respawn at midnight.
There really is no freaking big deal here.
Right after the player sends a ticket to customer support... Actually, more like months-never after!

Nexon NA isn't smart to begin with.
I saw Nexon NA and smart, got ready to flame, then saw the isn't.
Phew, crisis avoided.

Do you think someone was really going to get the sword the FIRST DAY it came out?
I was going to agree that none of that should've happened, then I read that.
I really need to stop looking at Mabi conversations when I know nothing of the game anymore. :<

Just another indication they don't actually test things before releasing them, nothing to get up in arms about~

You never know
even if you had 200 people running for mats it would take them 2 months to get the mats needed... 30+ adv and hard theatre missions (not 1 snow web) so HIGHLY UNLIKELY (no 1 in my guild or friends list has gotten one either) ....and you need 7500 if u have 100% sucess rate (success rate for snow web to silk is like.. 33% or something outrageous like that) so GG and GL

It's only annoying to whoever actually gets the sword first.
"I'm the first person in NA to get the Flaming Sword!"
"NO YOU AREN'T, giantx1 GOT IT FIRST! YOU SUCK LOLOLOLOL!"

Calm down; everyone knows they're a GM, if I created a game (though Nexon didn't) I would very well do whatever I want on it
Corruption? I think not :what:
Now would be corruption if they kept taking the sword without giving others a chance

You guys ever wondered if there is a possibility that GM accounts are different from ordinary accounts?
So if anything needs to be tested, using that alternate is actually the best thing to do?
I wouldn't blame the GM. They are just doing their job to test if things are working as they should. If anything, it's the jealous and ignorant people who are raging. The sword would not have been pulled out by a legit player on the first few days given the nature of how it is made.
It doesn't matter if it isn't the first. If the sword is screwed up or causes server problems, early detection by the GM would help everyone.

Well said. It's like if I were to grab the sword one day,I wouldn't want to be lagging like hell the moment I touch it.
=Scenario=
Sedia: Yay~! I can get the sword! *Everyone stares*
*clicks*
*game freezes*
*has to restart laptop*
irl: NOOOOO!!!! WHY MABI? WHYYY?
^ Before GMs tested it.

People complain when they doesn't test it and a bug is found... people also complain when they test it to prevent possible bug... so... should they test it or not?

The only right thing to do is to do your job regardless of the complaints?

As stupid as NX is, this is a total overreaction.
I don't see what harm it can 'cause since, obviously, the thing isn't even tradeable.

It is not that big of a deal seriously. I mean a game is a very complex thing to code and when updating/transferring data, mistakes can happen or unseen circumstances. So sometimes testing on the live server with everyone else can help see if there is anything wrong.
I mean the sword is a pretty unique in mabi. You never know what unseen glitches it might have when its live and what best way to make sure nothing is wrong then to pull the sword out while the game is live.
Also who knows a little bit of showing off might motivate some people to try for it or something.
