Best upgrade path for Highlander Long Bow

Just got one. Unfortunately it was below average stats.

The upgrade I'm thinking on is:

Edern's Special Enhancement: +5max | +5 crit | +5 Balance | +100 range
Sight Change: +3 max
Sight Change: +3 max
Emporium Special Upgrade: +6 max | +10 crit
Emporium Special Upgrade: +6 max | +10 crit

Edern's Gem Update 1: +2 Max | +100 range

Final Stats:
Damage: 13 - 52
Crit: 44%
Balance: 60%
Dur: 13
Range: 2200

Now I'm not sure if I should change the second Emporium upgrade to an Artisan upgrade. 20 dex and 70 luck pretty much beats the +6max and +10crit. I would like to use this bow mainly for Crash Shot so I'm not sure if S or R is better.

So pretty much what I need help for:
- Best upgrade path
- Artisan Upgrade?
- S or R upgrades.

All comments will be greatly appreciated.

As for enchants I'm thinking Glorious/Lizard Caliburn

So for the enchant list I'm thinking going Intricate > Stiff > Glorious

Damage Range: 3 - 79
Crit: 66%
Range: 2200
Dur: 13
20dex, 70luck Artisan Upgrade

Here's what i think. If your max damage isn't over 330 with that bow by the time you get ready to R type it. Just S type it until you get a trans stone and then change it when your max damage zooms past 330.
That's my opinion.

That's how much max damage you need (give or take 10-20) to do more on average with an R type than with an S type assuming max crit chance on all mobs.

Enchant wise. Get the enchant from Longa. Nobility? i think

Artisan is only 2 Max and 4 Crit better, which isn't worth it imo.

Also, if you go with Artisan you'll start losing damage when you hit 999 Dex underneath spotlights.

Glorious is great if you intend to use it as ego replacement, but Caliburn will give you nightmares.... 48k repair a point? Nobility is also a bit more expensive than Glorious, but it's certainly good.

If you don't like big repair modifiers, Lizard or Snowfall are fine as well.

For suffix, if you have endless nx, go with Spike instead... If you don't, try Fancy. Alternately, you could wait for auction to start selling Wanderer items (1 more potential max than Spike) but a pretty harsh roll.

It's not a bad idea to go S-Type on this bow even if you have really high damage... Criticals with it are already overkill for the majority of mobs, but normal damage is often unsatisfactory. You can always switch between them depending on the mission you'll be running, though, R-Type would be a lot better for the high HP/prot enemies found in elite missions.

I don't know about Caliburn. I wanted to do Glorious Caliburn as well, but then I looked at the repair costs. If you go to Edern, it's 48k per point, 97% is 38k, 96% is 28k and so on. It'd cost a LOT to fully repair that bow x_x

Yea...I was afraid of the repair costs but it was something I was willing to deal with. I could always 95% repair it for the 2k repair which is only 24k with Glorious Caliburn. Spike is nice but I would prefer the 10 crit for the little omph in crit power. Palm tree is another option I could get instead of spike...Spike would be better until 999dex with its 14 damage > 12 damage of palm tree. Another option would be just enchant over caliburn whenever I go to repair it, cost a whole lot less....

....Wow, surprised no one picked it up. My eyes tricked me on Oiling...thought it was +5max, +5min. It was the other way round....changing that to sight change now.
