exactly how do you even prof at wisps. and provocation barriers are so high CP xD.
I WANNA PROF MAH GLADIUS ! >_0
Also. can someone tell me why everyone in mari server that i ask says wakizashi are bad weapons? one guy said they lose dura 30% faster too.
Cant check upgrades due to mabinogi wiki being down
Wisps = Get hamster hunter ES on a mule character, put it on ALL your equipments, but your damage probably will be low enough to not kill it if it's a new character that you're gonna prof on.. Just auto combat on, and then hit it to a wall. Also put Lightning elementals on the items your proffing, it decreases the damage even more without having to go for all those Hamster Hunter ES's.
When Mabinogi Wiki is down, use EU version, Mabinoger. Not much of a difference, but a bit less content.

The point of hitting wisps for prof is that they are highly lighting element. you're supposed to put lightning elements on all your gear, including clothing, two accessories, and a robe (yes that counts). if you're using a 2-handed weapon that's 8 lightning elements total. if you're proffing one one-hander, use a shield for 9 elements. if duel wielding, both weapons for 9 elements.
the point of low damage is so fights take longer, so you can spend more time afk before having to come back and find a new wisp or something to hit. hamster hunter enchants, cowardly enchants, and raising defense stat substantially are also ways to accomplish this, and if you can get your damage to 1's on something besides a wisp, then by all means use those too. Longa is arguably the best melee proff way, if you have enough -damage stuff and defense due to the healing effect of the phasing rooms.
the reason tendering pots are needed for provocation, is that they don't really have CP. hitting them won't give prof, regardless of your cp. but a tendering pot doesn't modify cp directly, it simply raises the level of things you fight by one step, which works on the walls to make them worth prof.

mhm, so if i dont have two accesories i wouldnt get hit with 1 would i?
also can you enchant another element over an element? such as enchant fire over a clothe with lightning already on it
and can you buy tendering pots? xD

if you use an element on something that already has an element, the new one replaces the old.
If you have only one accessory... get another one. they're cheap. 5k from another player is a high-average cost, 3k low-average (ruairi prices, shouldn't be expensive on any sever though). If you have less than 8-9 total lightning elements, that will increase the damage you and the wisp do to each other (you're both going to hit each other quite a few times). This method is only at all good if you can reduce both your damage and the damage you take to 1's. Otherwise you'll have to basically watch the fight the whole time and use potions to stay alive, and constantly find new wisps to fight when the current one dies.
Tendering potions are from the cash shop. Sometimes players will sell them.

Accessories are like 50k/point but they lose dura slowly if they are blessed like really slow.

So most people put the enchants on it then burn due to the insane repair costs. It's only when you have end game enchants such as Oblivion Earthquake is when you repair them.

for poffing purposes, you just buy a new accessory (5k) a lightning element (1K) and a holy water to bless it (1.5k). Two accessories should last you through proffing several weapons.
