attack speed set is only worth it for melee if you wield demonic death knight sword and you want to final hit with it. And the only reason to pick ddk sword over crks is if you have it already enchanted and reforged.
Gun attack speed varies on connection and guns. Dowras with or without attackspeed set on WoTG is basically the same.
For taunes if you want to WoTG you have to have attack speed set.

@Fabian Definitely get the Connous Leather boxes, cause you can probably sell the extra sets for good amount of money. Speaking of the boxes, make sure you open the boxes with the gender you want because it gives you a set based off your gender.
Also, spend the seals now if you can. I logged onto my returned millitian mule a few days ago to find out the shop was completely unavailable. My title had been expired already at that point.

Does magic damage scale from player max damage or just the damage enchants that contribute to player max damage?
Thanks!

Sort of both in a way. It's enchants only, but BFO's bonus counts as an enchant, so the more max you have for BFO to scale off the better. Unless you're going vivace.

Does that mean if I have 1000 max attack, +100 damage from enchants, and +40% from BFO, do I get 400+140=+540 damage to scale my magic with? Or do I only get +140 from enchants+bfo-on-enchant-damage?
Thanks again~

You only get the damage enchants. But note that it also gets the weapon power potion buff.
There's a scale of how much max is equal to a unit of MA, and with the general number of damage enchants available, it's easier to get damage from max damage enchants than MA enchants because the ratio for MA enchants are pretty bad, regardless of if you use Vivace or BFO. Note that adv magics (Meteor, Lightning Rod, Hail Storm) don't get bonus from damage enchants.

I don't understand what's considered an "enchant" in this calculation if BFO and the power potion are involved. :/ From what I've heard, it seems like damage can be broken into 1)player damage, 2)buffed PD, 3)enchant damage, and 4)buffed ED.
example player :
1) 100 base player damage,
2) +56 from 30% BFO and 20% power pot
3) 50 added damage from enchants,
4) +28 from 30% BFO and 20% power pot
(Please correct me if that's not how the buffs work x_x still learning.)
Which of those damage types is/are used for magic damage?

You don't get bonus from "base player damage" which I assume you're referring to damage shown in your character screen. If you're referring to the base damage from skills, that still doesn't get affected by BFO. What does get affected are the damage enchants on your gears (NOT reforges, ENCHANTS).
Example: Your character screen has 500 max. This doesn't count towards Firebolt, nor would the damage buffed on your character screen with BFO count towards Firebolt. But, if you do have 100 max from enchants, a portion of those 100 max enchants would count towards Firebolt damage, and furthermore, the max damage from enchants can also have the BFO benefit, so let's say you have 40% BFO, you would get a portion of 140 max that count towards Firebolt damage. With bone chip, it would be 100*1.2*1.4*1.2 = 201.6 max, at least a portion of it, counting towards Firebolt damage. 10 max is about equivalent to 8 MA, and max damage enchants can get buffed by BFO while MA cannot.
You can get up to 48 total MA (counting Awakend Successor's x 2, but not counting weapons), which is really shitty compared to 115+ for max damage, especially considering that max damage can receive buffs. Note that the example I used is for Firebolt (which is very relevant to talk about), and a lot of other spells still receive some bonus from max damage. Advanced magics (Hail, Meteor, LR) are the only ones that don't receive bonus from MA, but sacrificing other superior enchants for subpar MA isn't really worth enchanting for the advanced magics, as Languhiris Chaser Circlet with mastery reforges will do the job anyway. Even if you're using vivace, max damage in general will help you a lot.

BFO does not just increase your enchant damage for firebolt, it acts AS enchant damage in firebolt's calculation. If you have 600 max naked with your wand and you cast 30% BFO, firebolt will hit the same as if you had 180 max worth of enchants on. Weapon damage DOES matter for BFO magic. That's the whole point here. But of course enchants also contribute to your range, so they do end up counting twice in the BFO. So if you have 1k max
including 100 worth of enchants, a 40% BFO adds 400 to that 100 for 500 total counted towards firebolt's damage.
So if the question is, "What should I enchant gear with for BFO magic?" the answer is max and music (which works because music buff% enchants usually come with high max anyway), except for magic weapons where staves can take the 20 matk prefixes and suffix, and wands can use a 12 matk suffix IF it rolls that high, but should go with a max damage prefix since wand matk prefixes suck. I can't think of other questions where the answer isn't still "enchant yourself for max damage." Yes raising your fire ego's strength is important.

Bad wording on my part, I meant that the total max shown on the character screen won't, as with the BFO max, but like you said, the max difference does take into account. I believe I didn't say weapon damage doesn't count. The weapon's damage certainly does count, as will be shown in the formula.
For the OP, here's the final formula for calculating Firebolt damage: (Firebolt Base Damage + Firebolt Max Damage reforge + MA/2 + Damage from enchants/2.5 + Weapon Damage + Wand Coefficient (5)*Number of charges (5))*(Charge Multiploer (6.5))*(1+MWM bonus (1.5)+Fire Mastery bonus (.15) + Bolt mastery bonus (.15)*Bolt Master title if applicable (1.15) + Bolt Mastery reforge if applicable (.2 for level 20) + Fire Mastery reforge if applicable (.1 for level 20) + Fire Master title if applicable (.1) + Hebona set if applicable (.15)
So what does get applied and what doesn't for "Damage from Enchants"?
Following applies: Enchants, Titles, Doll Bags, Damage increased by BFO, Max Attack Power reforge on Wands
Following don't apply: Max Attack Power reforge on other equips, Totems
Bone chip doesn't apply if you don't use BFO, but it does if you do.

Being an elf isn't really that much of a disadvantage when you end up capping.
