Lv44 is a false sense of accomplishment. The people who are really worth mentioning because of AP count are usually quiet or nice.

With a level 44 Lann and Evie under my belt, I always try and be as mean as I can to every other player who's not my level.
In fact, I'll often add lower levels and constantly harass them with demeaning insults and telling them how much they suck.
Why, just the other day a level 14 Evie was wondering when they were able to use scythes. I quickly responded by saying "lolololll8l8lollolo yore such a nub why dont u go smash ur comp in2 a wall xDdDdDDDD"
I love being high leveled!

Sarcasm aside, ego gets the best of some; just ignore those people and pray you find a tolerant player.

From my experiences, PUG level 44s are the worst people you'll ever meet, unless you manage to absolutely show them up in a battle.
I've seen absolute dickbags just afk in the beginning, and say "I am high level."
Really, I think all the people who grinded up at the beginning were all rather nice, as everyone was unanimously aiming for the same goal, and held back by the same things. Now, everyone and their mother is 44, so they think that level 44 is a standard.

But really, why are higher level people so mean?
Because the people who get to level caps first are often people who rush as fast as they can because they think it's like a status symbol that means they're better. (It's really just a symbol of how much free time you have.)
Then they act like they're better because they think they are, and lower levels observe this behavior, and get an idea in their head that's similar to how the rush people think, so they act the same way.
Protip: Ignore them. It's good for your health.

People being rude in an online game? No way!
Kidding aside, you shouldn't stereotype people that way. Things are not that black and white.
It is, indeed, a shame how rude people can be over a game. Seems like free games suffer some of the worst of it. Although, having played shooter games online since the Tribes days, those type of games are pretty sad these days. Very little respect for fellow players. It's driven me away (burnt me out?) from shooters and I think one of the reasons I enjoy Vindictus so much is that it's all cooperative, so you don't see as much disrespect.
Cheers!
^This.
When it comes to 'assholism', it isn't level discriminate. I don't PUG all that often anymore, but when I do my worst experiences tend to be because of the host's lag more than anything else. I ignore the afker now and then, and often play with people who will not hesitate to kick people out for showing bad attitude or don't listen to us when we've made instructions clear, which makes for pleasant gameplay.
that being said, I suggest joining a guild or just playing with friends. It makes life a lot easier.

I be as nice as I can when I play my Evie. Hell I'll even ask out in general chat if anyone needs help. Only time I may act an ass is if something happens irl while I'm playing that pisses me off.

Yu have to realize its NEXON. there are always gonna be ignorant kids who plays this games.
I get what yu mean, it does get annoying to get flamed on by 10 year old kids.
Cant help it, this is why i dont do any runs with pugs. find some friends to run with
as for the lag part, i guess its pretty understanding. its a major flaw in this game. when i played the korean server, i get one bar to my host yet its still lagless.
blame NEXON America for not fixing it :(

I'm seeing more and more ignorance lately. Mostly on the latest missions (Regrets and Blood Lord). For some reason, people will kick you for just joining their boat, for no reason whatsoever.
Other times, if you happen to say something offhand (I made a Dodgeball reference for instance) and the host doesn't like it, they will kick you from the next run, despite how good you were doing. In this instance, I was the only one who didn't die...and actually followed the instructions to 'palala down the list' instead of throwing randomly like everyone else.
I've even gotten flak for wearing Nightmare armor on the BL run, as 'I didn't need to go' because I have most of my set completed. When I tell them I'm selling off the materials to finish dying the armor, I get 'that's your fault', and kick. Not to mention there only seems to be one or at most two hard raids going at one time, so you are likely stuck dealing with the same set of idiots if you don't get on a continuous run.
So yes, as a higher level player...I hate higher level players. For the most part they are terribad and rely way too much on secondaries--or that god forsaken football--and they are usually very immature to boot. Also the 'only go with a guild' excuse works in an active game, which Vindictus is not. I have yet to see more than two guildmates on a boat together, which tells me there aren't that many active guilds (mine included).

That football is very aggravating. :/ I think that the amount of people who rely on it are really going to be like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF when this event ends; they won't have a clue what to do.
