How do you want to die?

  Otherwise I want to die from going insane and being trapped inside my own subconscious dreams. Leaving my body on the outside a shambling mess but in my mind having a perfect world I can control.

  Contrary to most people, I wouldn't like to die a quick, painless, unaware death. That's just... I don't know how to describe it, but it's similar to the feeling I get when the government withhold the truth from me.
  
  I like to know that I'm dying. In fact, I want to know if I'm dying. That way, I can be aware of it, and be able to be prepared to move on. Instead of just die suddenly without knowing anything going on.
  
  A slow death is fine. Painful death, not so much. I guess the pain and death won't be so bad if I'm with somebody I can hold onto though. Loved one, friend, etc.

  The death I really fear is old age. The thought of needing help for nearly everything, unable to do what I want without help from others, trapped in some nursing home waiting to die... It really scares me QQ

  I would love to die like a hero.
  
  I dunno why, but I always envision myself in a school shooting. I try to get everyone outside of the building or off the floor where the shooter is, you know, risking my life to save others.
  
  I admire heroes like that. Firefighters, police officers (the good ones), etc. And true superheroes too!
  
  I wish I were one.
  
  
  Ideally though, I'd love to die in hospital bed, surrounded by loved ones, just telling jokes and remember good old times 'til the moment comes. Laughter is amazing.

  I used to answer, "Quickly", so that I wouldn't feel pain.
  
  But the more I thought about it, the more I thought that was a wimpish cop out. Those are my very last seconds alive, I want to feel something. So I wouldn't mind dying in a painful way, but I've changed my answer to be, "Either in some way that is totally crazy and everyone on earth will talk about me for at least 100 years, or while doing something incredibly blissful."
