I'm talking of course about marketing, it's a risky business. You can spend all your money on something hoping to make a profit selling it again, this can either leave you destitute or make you very rich. I'm wondering, do you guys take the risk or are you more cautious?

I don't go near the business part of Mabinogi, so I guess I'm cautious. I just hunt stuff and sell it for the most part.

Well....
I'm a Healer... So I go with Cautious in every thing I do.
So I stay out of aggro unless I'm needed to fight.
Also I farm a lot.
I don't buy just to resell, I buy to use.

Eww i hate market on mabi, takes extra time I don't have and its too frustrating when you lose a brownie contract because of DC.

normally I'll only buy things I need.

The more serious it is, the less willing I am to take risks.
And vice versa. But sometimes, risks are your only option.

Risk always pays the most :) I never spend more than a fourth of my money at any one time though. I also don't invest in fashion, too unpredictable. Typically I market based on what will be valuable in the future (based on other servers) so it's hardly a risk.

Takes to much time to sell certain things IMO so I dont get into it.

I make safe investments by buying rare colored weapons and reselling because I know I'm guaranteed to make money.

I'm bad with money. I tend to buy things over priced because of my NEED TO HAVE ET.

I... I'm pretty much a merchant, so yes, I always take risks.

Marketing? What is this?
More stress selling more stuff?
I sell things at cheap prices for a quick buck. That's how I make my living on mabi. Sell cheap to get money fast to keep going. So no, if I buy something, I buy it to use it.

Hmm here's an example. While browsing the market place I found a shop that sold red stones for 25k each. I previously had a seller that would buy them for 30k each so I knew that was the least I could sell them for. This put me into a bit of a dilemma because I am rather poor and if I bought out the store and couldn't sell the stones then I'd be broke. I didn't take the risk :<

I trade items I don't use for new items I will use.
And if they say no. Screw them.

Not really. I've never lost money on anything I've bought to resell, and I've bought big things too. It's not a risk if you know the market extremely well.
