I wonder if they do that on purpose, I see that too often.
Tager is very very difficult to play, while Rachel is pretty easy to pick up.
Since Tager has a huge hitbox, and cannot dash or double jump, a long distance zoning fighter like Rachel is probably one of the worst match ups for him.
Rachel can hit you from almost anywhere on the screen, and her wind control lets her move wherever she wants instantly. You can really tell he's having a rough time getting to her. She's laying down lightning rods, frogs, bats, which can all attack in the direction she manipulates the wind. She can escape at any time from close quarters using her wind too. In the first fight he gets screwed by the pitch fork twice. It has huge stun and good range so Rachel players tend to open their combos with it a lot.
He was stalling until his spark bolt charged up. Its Tager's only ranged attack, but its a fast one that magnetizes the enemy. Once they're magnetized he doesn't have to move at all since the enemy will be pulled towards him when he attacks with electricity. There he can just juggle his opponent without moving from his spot.
