I'm having a few problems with my new Snowy Owl. I've never owned a pet bird before, so it might just be my ignorance/stupidity in the way. :what:
Anyways...
He seems to have problems with combat, magic, mainly. If I say "fb!" he doesn't charge firebolt. Even when I bring up the pet skill window and click "use" nothing happens. I haven't had these problems before with my other pets. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, or better is anyone knows a solution.
There is also the occasional lag when I send him out to attack a monster. Sometimes he just stays there and waits to get killed...
Thanks in advance.

This happens with all my pets. I basically had to use a macro for everything I wanted them to do...

Pets can only charge spells when targetting a monster. It won't do it if it's not.

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks!

It means you have to ctrl + shift + mouseclick at a monster, let your pet move towards the monster and use the skill quickly within that short amount of time.

which is really annoying. set your hotkeys if they aren't full to use with your pets.

For making your own macro, you can "have pet prepare skill(firebolt) when master uses skill(useless uneeded skill)" And have "pet use prepared skill when master hits enemy with skill/spell" This works well for having a pet charge firebolt when you prepare something easy, like defense. Then when you strike the pet will follow up. I used this in my beginning mage days when fighting golems when wanted every damage I could get. Later on you wont need your pets for damage, rather than distractions, so you wont find macros to help seeing most focus on end game pet tactics.

My pets can charge bolts without targetting, but then if I send them to attack something with a bolt charged they run up to it and follow it around.
So yeah, aim then charge.
