I was just about to get my boxes today, when suddenly the stand disappeared. Before I could make it to the Japanese Delegate, he disappeared, then the Korean and the Chinese. I simply stood there befuddled for a few seconds before changing channels and finding out not only was it on every channel, everyone saw it and it wasn't just a visual glitch.
Has that happened to the other servers?

They ended the event last night because people abused it by making new accounts.

Yup, I just got home from work and they vanished right before my eyes.
LE SIGH.

I'm confused, they didn't need to take the game down for maintenance to remove this event, but they did need too take it down for many other events.

I thought that they needed to take down the server for the event too, which is why I thought it was a weird glitch, but apparently a GM or an employee came in and manually deleted the stand and the NPCs.

The CTF event two weeks ago also started without a maintenance (well, it wasn't started automatically after the maintenance like it supposed to be, so they sort of manually started it on the next day)...

Now all that remains is the piles of forgotten Beijing Opera wear cluttering the street. :<

Oh well.
Be glad that you had fun.
But since this is discovered I doubt something as good as this will be happening again.

They either repeat events or give events not even worth doing.

You mean Gacha Events
Because we can't be trusted with normal free item events w/o Abusing it right?... though the blame can i guess be put on Nexon for not having a lvl requirement to get something (total 30+ doesnt seem like a hard thing to do for 1 char)
then again... i remem the giant thing.. where people made alt giants on seperate accs and lvled them to 30 ~_~

:srsly?:
It's Tieve's Surprise Box all over again. It's Nexon's own fault they made it like this, and premature cancellation and wrongful banning can be easily prevented. Let me put a good example to how that can be done that another MMORPG managed to do: Before Mabinogi, the only MMORPG I played (Still do kinda.) was Final Fantasy XI. One of their events is an in-game lottery where many valuable prizes can be won and some of them are even sellable. We all know very well that this can be very prone to new character abuse, so to prevent such things, they made it so only characters that have been around for at least 45 days can enter. If Nexon made their giveaway events to have no characters just created during the time of the event to participate, we would still have our delegates.
