at least, then you can see them and kill them easier
I'd be like DIE 8U -stab stab-
At least you know what's around the corner.
It's not a helicopter or a plane..? D:

is it SuperMan? D:
that reminds me- (not really)
but if they die off faster, wouldn't that kinda change their mating times? meaning they'd tried to mate faster = more mutations?

i dont think mosquitos will notice it.
however there will certainly be fewer females successfully getting the blood needed to reproduce as often due to time constraints

The Mist?
There were giant spiders and mosquitoes in that one.
But in all seriousness, bugs cannot ever turn giant because their exoskeletons aren't made to be any bigger than the size they currently are now.
Yep, that's the one. I have an active imagination and I always play the "what if" game with that stuff. Nice to hear it from someone that it's not possible though.
I just hope these mosquitoes don't turn rabid or something. What would the world do if they were gone? Are they needed? I guess everything is. But didn't Hawaii survive without them?

I have a pretty active "what if" imagination as well. It was the first thing I learned to defend against being placed in so many situations where I have nothing to do for hours and I need to entertain myself somehow.
Mosquitoes are not "necessary" but still very important for the ecosystem. They're a strong part of the food chain and taking them out would be risky, some places more than others.
And The Mist was a pretty good movie. Though its primary focus wasn't on giant monsters but more on how manipulative human beings are.

Man, I need to learn to do that. I can keep myself up half the night worrying "what ifs".
Now I wonder how we'd fair without this guys. I hope these altered mosquitoes work out. I'm sure it'll help a lot of people if they do what they're supposed to in the long run. They should be able to tell pretty quick if it's working right? I mean they have a short life cycle.
The Mist was good but I just couldn't stop thinking about those bugs. Plus, the ending was frustrating. I've always been kinda fascinated and terrified by post apocalyptic/pseudo-post apocalyptic movies.

Mosquitoes are one of the animals I hate the most.
I hate them too. Their existance is pretty much useless. They just suck blood and breed.

At least only the females suck blood, the males eat fruits. :thumb:
But yeah, considering how aggressive female mosquitoes can be when they need blood for their young...oye.
Why are they always doing 'experiments' anyways? At least they haven't created zombies by accident...geesh.

That day probably won't be that far off.

As long as the zombie virus isn't airborne the chances of humanity losing to them is very slim.

Ohey I used to live in Malaysia, mosquitoes were one of the reasons why I hate living there, other than the humidity and the heat of the country. Hopefully this eliminates dengue fever, my sister had it once, luckily we knew the symptoms well and got her admitted to the hospital early.
Hopefully this turns out well and no giant bugs will come to avenge their deaths of the fellow mosquitoes I've killed in my lifetime.
