That makes sense then.
Maybe the government blew up the trade center when they noticed the plane was going to crash into it. It explains all the evidence of explosives that was seen.
Counter-terrorism at its best!

In America we destroy our third-world infrastructure before anyone else gets a chance. :D Government worrying about the infrastructure that already dead at this point. Here a novel concept. If you want a strong infrastructure, fix the damn thing instead of letting it wallow in its on cesspool for over 50 years. Really America has a infrastructure that hasn't been fix nor maintain in over 50 years, might be longer. No wonder we having so many problems. Guess the next best thing is just to kill the damn thing, we'll go out in a blaze of glory.

Unfortunately, infrastructure is in such bad condition that the government needs to spend about 2.2 trillion dollars to get it back to "good" condition (
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/31/AR2010123104609.html). The government is already swamped in a 14 trillion dollar debt and does not have an extra 2.2 trillion to throw around. If the US pulled out of all the foreign wars that we are involved in, then the money used to fund those expensive wars could be diverted to infrastructure improvements, but I don't see that happening anytime soon...

We could also have some sane taxes, but nope, we gotta keep fighting for them rich folk to not have to pay for any of their (employee's) hard earned money.
I mean if we get all our money from the middle and lower class, that equals trillions, right? Right?
But seriously I'm all for pulling out of wars as well. And defense spending. Ho ho ho damn do we not need to spend more on defense than the entire rest of the world combined. ESPECIALLY if we're still getting our asses kicked all the time. That should be clear evidence that most military spending doesn't actually do anything beyond make the rich richer, and that leads right on back to my first point that the rich could probably use a teensy bit of taxation beyond the none they currently pay.

The us gov may be a bunch of air heads but they are not that dumb
Even with out internet
Look how much internet has gone into our lives
If they turn off the internet
Entire communities would come together to fight for it back
Its like saying if you took away Islam culture in Saudi Arabia or took away anime + its culture in japan the people would just be a bunch of headless chickens

Disregarding everything mentioned above, shutting off the internet means no Facebook, Twitter, eMail,
internet porn, and games. All of (non rural) America is going to go outside to knock over cars and set buildings on fire until they have their internet back.
Quote from Reddit:
If the President goes to war for no good reason, holds prisoners indefinitely without due process, tortures people, allows corporate influence on our government, or seeks to limit the freedom of the press then I will be disappointed but if I can't look at porn, I will riot.

Egypt is in a ****storm right now.
Theres riots and death everywhere and they want their president out.
China doesn't want people to get any ideas so they've completely censored Egypt from existence. They don't talk about Egypt, there are no longer any articles about Egypt, and the term "Egypt" has been filtered from their internet.
