I'm fine with going all stats on a character as long as I don't look dumb. There's a threshold I have since this game is all about style anyway.
When BL wasn't out, I wore Rose Drop pants, boots and gloves with Sweetie Bear Coat + Scarlet Witch hat (all black/blue) just because the Rose Drop top and hat are ugly (mostly just the hat though) on my Evie. Only time I wore something that looked better than something that functioned better on my Fiona was Sharpshooter over Savage Leather, but then I got Blood Prince soon enough.

Aww that sounds really cute. :D
I've seen some people combine bits of the Sharpshooter leather armor with Spider Cloth or Blood Silk set, and it looked really cool as well.
It's interesting what we will do for fashion :XD:

THIS IS THE VINDICTUS SECTION![/SIZE]
I think the forum's gonna need ways to make the difference between the Vindi and Mabi sections more noticeable.
Anyways, in this case of Vindictus for gear, in battle I mostly go for a full set depending on stats for not only consistency and the almost highest possible set bonus, but also to make those set quests easier on my characters. I am working on getting my characters a 2nd set that's just for looks to wear in town and the like, but so far only my Fiona has completed hers with a little uncertainty on what to use for the head, hands, and feet.

I go for sets always. Currently have the Rose Drop set. Working towards the Blood Lord set, and I'm not gonna wear it until I get the entire thing.

what are they gona do, put blaring lights around the words vindictus before you post?
and i'm middle ground also. stats are important for high levelled dungeons, thats for sure..

Both. i get the armor with the best stats, then try to color it to my liking. however, i'll also get an armor set that i like solely for looks and equip it for dailies and/or assistance runs (this helps with keeping my main armor from piling on the deterioration).

Stats. I've done a little dying to get the set to match better but that's about it.

I'm somewhere in the middle. I used to wear my full Rose Drop set, until I got the Bunny Ear Headband. I use it instead now, as it gives my Evie more INT (and costs nothing to repair) and I didn't like how the hat looks with my hair ever since my "premium" hair coupon expired. Despite having a default inner (which looks awful with the Rose Drop), I still wear the Rose Drop usually, though I've been known to swap out the top/bottom for Sharpshooter/Broken Ash (respectively) sometimes. I have a LOT of sets for mixing/matching.

All people have to do is check before they look at the thread or even before they post.

What is everyone's favorite combinations? I'm a big fan of the Rose Drop tube top, it goes with everything.

Full Lagh, nearly max'd out skills, and +7 Stigma+Blood Lord Shield.
And over 160 titles. :D
That's great. The only problem is if a person is bad, none of the stats will matter. Later on though this debate won't mean anything as there are items to let you use the armor set of your choice for looks with the stats of a better (and presumably uglier) set.
