They need to give respect for this class and not trash it. instead when to a 25% or 30% chance of Double training. or 50% chance.
Debate.
(Yes i read that who wants merchant class thing and did what some dude said soemoen should do :P)
Not completely serious although i would love this class like my own child (even though i dont want one of those leeches :T_T: )

While each specialization has certain skills that are certainly harder to require. Just about everything in the life skill track has a tedium in leveling for a reason. Not to mention not all life skills are necessarily meant to supplement one another, so it becomes a bit of an imbalance compared to the other specializations. Of course, that is not to say the server wouldn't learn to deal with it anyway. Thus has just been as mabinogi has always been.

Before you ask for things that make the gameplay easier than it already is, ask yourself this question:
Do you want to play the game? or do you want to be spoonfed.

It was only ever remotely fair when there were skill restrictions in place.
I'm glad it's gone now that the job system was made pointless.

They didn't hate the Merchant class at all. They gave it to everyone. The benefits of the class were exp from succeeding in production skills and access to blacksmithing, trailoring, and potion crafting skills. Everyone gets those effects.
Do note that under the original class system, not every skill could be trained double speed. Knights had a very spcific list of skills that qualified, notably WM was not one of them. Alchemists and wizards had rather large lists they could train at double speed, but merchant class couldn't train their skills any faster.

THAT. You can do just about EVERYTHING very easily with either money or the new implementations. I remember when training wm was a pain in the ass for those with high cp. Or refining? better get it done before you get too much dex.
But now you have all this bull**** pots and super cheap -cp items (relatively) that can just jump over all of that effort people actually put into the game.
But lets NOT stop there, now there's people baby crying about life skills being "too hard" or "taking too much time". That is the only skill bar that contains some TRUE hard work, hard earned skills, through paying vast amounts of gold or spending countless hours.
You gotta be kidding me if you want to make that easier. Go play Eve if you don't want to earn your skills by actually fulfilling the requirements.

This "class" doesn't exist anymore since it was removed in the beta testing. Therefore, devCat/Nexon/whatever you call it, can't really hate on it.

I want a real class system, not like the one we have now which is a gimmick. Make class-specific skills unlock as you choose a destiny and no other class can rank them, while keeping basic skills free for everybody (wm, potion making, etc.). There.

That is what the people didn't want when it first introduced. That is why they just changed it to the current one.

If the Merchant class was there, then the people who actually worked hard for their R1's before, can feel proud..
And then the other people who choose the class to get that 2x training saves so much money ranking skills, but then they have it easy. Sort of unfair.
It would be good for the 2x though, saving a lot of time and money on your hands and wasting less materials.

1) No, I would feel pissed.

I wonder if people realise that Nexon NA doesn't actually do that much other than localise. The bulk of development/production is done by Devcat under Nexon KR.
