Lately, my laptop will either turn on fine and quick, take awhile to turn on, or not at all.
I believe the reason is a mouse I have, it's dead now so I can't really check, was causing it.
Anyway, it would turn on, but it just never got past the blank screen.
We took the mouse out and it turned on perfectly but came with a popup saying usb ports weren't functioning correctly.
I thought, the mouse?
What do you guys think?

Maybe the drivers? Or maybe it's just an iffy computer.

I'll check my drivers.
It's a lappy though, so who knows.

The mouse shouldn't have anything to do with the functioning of the computer.

Well apparently it did if the computer didn't turn on until I took the mouse out.

Probably a coincidence.

Oh it's a laptop so it has a touchpad.
Touchpad is just fine.

Though, if that has a touch pad, would it matter to fix the mouse? Unless you use it for a lot of gaming.
Probably get a different mouse.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to do anything with your mouse and it's your hardware.

The computer is getting old anyway.

The problems with the startup were probably the computer trying to use the mouse with messed up drivers. Try the mouse on another computer? Test out something else in the USB Port?
