Archmage Society vs Royal Alchemists: how it started

  For centuries, different approaches to the 'force' have sought to rule Erinn. With the advent of the Shadow World, Alchemists got the upper hand and managed to receive the Pontiff's blessing. Although their intentions seemed noble, their only desire was to get rid of the elder and well respected Wizards just to acquire a new spell the renown and highly honored druid Berched --who now lives in a secret location-- was working on: Shock.
  
  Because of their lack of knowledge, and unlike Wizards, Alchemists didn't completely understand the Lightning Element and ended up creating Sparks (their version of Shock) combining Wind and Fire through an alchemical process. This made the spell unstable and impossible to keep going on for longer than fifteen seconds. And so the Royal Alchemists signed a pact with the Fomors and hid the pages of the Spell deep inside the Shadow Realm.
  
  After torturing Berched and Lassar, Royal Alchemists found a way to Crystallize Intermediate Magic. They experimented for many years in the Shadow Realm (this evidence further proves that the Royal Alchemists are in good terms with the Fomors); this is why Inter Magic Crystals can be found in the Shadow Real occasionally.
  
  Scholars Cryosite and Chiyuri have some hard facts that support the existence of an ancient Wizard society:

  I'll like to point out that the magic version of Shock is a lost magic.. the knowledge of how to cast it was forgotten a long lnog time ago.
  It was a weak magic that was purely used to controlling the caliburn. Alchemic study done by a certain royal alchemist made a similar magic but involve a cataclism made through alchemy. The new skill "Shock" is a magic mixed with alchemy(priminilary considered an alchemy since an alchemist made it) that cause a similar effect to the ancient magic as it can control the caliburn to some extent. Extra effects from the alchemic side of that skill cause volts of electrical discharge that spread from the target and into near by opposing targets. That effect been mostly the creation of alchemy and not the actually effect of the magic in that skill, knowledge in alchemy can make controlling the volts more easy and powerful.
  
  
  On a last note, here come some spoilers on G11 so stop reading.
  In G11, a goddess gave a mere mortal that original magic to control the caliburn. Millitiens who achieved to gain godly power have also gain the knowledge of how to use that ancient skill but they only have that mystical knowledge in their Godly form. In other words, they can control the caliburn while using Godly powers without the need to rely on that "shock" skill invented by modern alchemist

  Butt hurt isn't the proper word Royal Alchemist. It's called providing a competing force so that one doesn't overpower the other. You Royal Alchemists have no opposing forces and have a prestige society of high end users, something that us other "classes" seem to lack.
