  You cover more distance with evasion (because giants evade farther remember we have faster run speed but it isnt elf speed) than you would if you just ran back after using firebolt. Its use vs the desert bears was more of an example as it was useless vs them. It should be used vs more slower enemies as it allows you time to load 2-3 ice bolt charges for a follow up attack.

  You've seriously inspired me. I've only ranked up Windmill so far, but I haven't really decided what I want to do with my Giant. I'm seriously debating just going pure Magic and combining it with a low HP build. I love Magic and i've had human mages, but since I've made the most progress on my Giant and my Giant is my favorite character [<3], it makes more sense.
  
  All we need is some more serious Giant mages, then people will stop being so pigheaded and stubborn that "LOL GIANT MAGE SUCKS".

  Oh definally rank windmill, any skill that gives you will stat the better! (wonderful Crits)
  
  The Glass Cannon (Low HP) Build is great but it really doesn't bring out a giants full potential, high HP/Will/INT/MP are the most important stats for a giant mage.
  The problem with a high HP Mage build however, it brings along the unwanted high CP as well which can cause a big problem, myself i've de-ranked a few skills (combat mastery, rest...) and have been relying on mana shield mostly when I get hit to lower my CP a bit...

  I did read the thread on Nexon forums, also. It kinda cracked me up because some of the arguments were ridiculously invalid.

  Never understood the whole giants shouldn't be mage thing. So giants are argued to have the highest melee damage in game as of now. So what? There's many thing magic can do that melee can not. Same goes for alchemy, range, etc. Giants pay slightly more MP sure, but the damage is the same so what's the deal? With demigod, trans, level ups and soon g14 infinite mana herbs thrown into the mix that shouldn't be a problem at all.
  
  Elves have mana efficiency (only matters early game) and running speed (which is a big factor their case.) Giants have defensive and offensive techs that make their magic more versatile. Humans... are actually the ones that are **** of luck when it comes to magic. With slow running speed and not being able to reliably get an int bonus (or non at all if they're a paladin) actually makes them the lowest on the mage tier.

  I don't think it's stereotyping really. It's roughly the equivalent of expecting native africans to have darker skin than native europeans. Giant's are obviously geared towards melee combat, so it's kind of a shock to see one bucking the pack. That's where people get nasty, not many handle any sort of shock well these days.
