Pokémon Black and White starters revealed

  The one on the top left looks like the grass type (kinda like a gecko with leaves on its tail.)
  Top right might be fire (a pig?)
  Bottom might be water (looks like an otter or a seal or something.)

  It'd be a nice change, but, I don't think they'll ever depart from the grass/water/fire starters. Plus, I don't think they'd ever make a light type... Psychic/Fighting/Dark would be awesome.
  
  The one at the bottom left looks the most interesting to me. I hope it's a grass type. I've picked fire over water over grass for too long now with my starters...

  I don't think they would make another type, since the types are already well balanced as it is. Dark was made mostly to counter psychic which at the time was really unbalanced.
  
  Who knows. Maybe we will get new types this Gen. I doubt it though. I think Gen V will be a bit similar to Gen IV, in that there's going to be more strange type pairings.

  Um, wouldnt all new pokemon not be compatible? I mean there not in the dex...I wonder if they can release a mystery gift to update the pokedex in Heart/soul to get the new pokemon......

  They could simply revise some pre-generation 6 Pokemon into to have the "light" typing, though it would debacle the current pokemon tiers. In any case, I don't think we need any new typing as it is.
  
  What we do need are some new typing combinations. Pure flying, normal + dark (normal + anything, even), ghost + steel come to mind. Grass + electric might be pretty interesting as well (STAB grass knot + thunder bolt, anyone?)

  If left was fire it'd be too similar to Charmander, but that's what I thought at first.
