Well, i'm delving into Magic a bit, and I was wondering...Magicians, do you like the Trinity Staff? If you own one, do you find it useful or would you rather use a wand instead? As I was reading about it, I was on the fence [I don't plan on buying one in the near future, though] about whether it's actually worth it...so I figured i'd ask some magic users first.

I only use mine for hailstorm or bolt spam. I don't use magic to much but I use it for Thunder if I feel like it because of the upgrades I put. If you're a bolt spammer then use it IMO. If you Adv Magic it up, use a normal wand. Trinity staff gives +15 damage at Lv 3 of that element and does not lose dura when using Magic. Only melee.
Upgrades also give +13 damage and a potential +70 int. Which adds up to around +30% damage. Then you can do special upgrades too.

Yeah it has its benefits but... I still use wands lol I don't use bolts so it's pretty hard to get to level 3 conveniently. Also when I do use magic, I'm either thundering or fireballing and for fireball I like the low cast speed of the phoenix fire wand. Of course the staff Does have it's benefits (as stated)... idunno I am a little disappointed I guess :P I'm still using wands a lot more.

Trinity is useless for anything except Hailstorm and luls.
Wands outclass it in too many ways for it to be helpful.
Chaincast
Cast Speed Reduction (Fire/Lightning)
Damage Increase (Ice) [Crown gives +28% boost, while Trinity caps at 28.5% including Artisan and lv3 charge]
Meditation while running
Shield, Charge enabled
Advance Magic instantly enabled
etc

Yeah, that's what I had been thinking. The whole idea of charging before using adv. magic is kinda dumb. :l
I can definitely see its uses otherwise, though.

Pretty much what I want to say.
I also like the Staff Smash =D

Plus, you never lose the manas when you unequip the staff.
You also never lose the duras from using the magic with a staff (any type of magic, including Haisltorm).
So I would say it's worth it.

A lot of mixed opinions lol I guess it depends on who you're asking. As a hybrid of sorts I don't use the staff really... I generally always know which int magic I'll be using and pick the wand to do so. With that said, I'm sure the staff has its purposes other than hailstorm... I just don't use it for those:P

Most of the negatives and positives have already been posted. I personally don't have one and don't want one, not even for hailstorm. I've seen epic damage from HS though, quite impressive... but personally i'm sticking to my metal lightning wand, thunder, and fusion. All my magic is capped, most of my melee too. I've fallen completely head over heels in love with bolt composer, and it's actually starting to interfere with my constant incessant thunderspamming :P
If you could fuse with the trinity staff or move around with intermediate magic charged, I would be completely sold and buy one immediately. q.q

I'm sure trinity staff will be more desirable once the other Advanced Magic comes out :)

Versatility is a huge issue for some players. Wands tend to sacrifice versatility for their benefits whereas the Trinity Staff seems content to be less specialised in order to have higher versatility.
