As of tonight, two members that were on the staff have been demoted from their positions.
Byte has been demoted because of how he handles decision making, and in the past he has repeatedly made bad decisions. Fal and myself has given him more than enough chances to redeem himself and then some more, and yet he continued to overact with his emotions instead of discussing it with the fellow staff members. However, with tonight's incident, he's pushed the limit and has as such been demoted to a regular user. As of this moment, we will not be replacing him, and we won't be holding any staff recruitment until we need some.
However, the staff is also aware of the amount of hate that most of the people that regular Bean Rua have for Byte, so if we see anyone bashing Byte, making fun of him, or making multiple threads bringing up his demotion, then that person will be receiving some swift punishment. And we guarantee you that you won't enjoy it.
As for the other demotion, we demoted Nexon of her position as an Event Helper, as most of you are aware by now. With making a thread calling out Byte about his decision, and then repeated disrespect for him when he infracted her for breaking the rules by disrespecting his decision, she has been stripped of her position. While she may not have had any actual powers, she still had a position on the staff, and disregarded the rules. Once would have been fine, because she might have had a bad night, but multiple times isn't something we can overlook.
Same goes for Hannah as for Byte, after I post this thread, any new threads about her demotion and/or attacking her for it will result in punishment. However, unlike Byte's position, we will be opening up a recruitment period a month ahead of schedule to fill the hole left by Hannah, so wait for a follow up thread with details to follow.
As for the new policy, we will start cracking down on any trolling, flaming, and unnecessary insults. We are tired of the negative nature that this community is undergoing, and with tonight's incidents, we won't tolerate it anymore, and heads will start to roll if we continue to see this type of behavior. And if you believe someone is insulting another member, then report it, don't try to handle it yourself. There has been too much backseat modding going on, and while you have good intentions, they really only lead to flame wars and unnecessary drama, so if you truly want someone to get in trouble for their behavior, then report them.
All it takes is a push of a little triangular button, a reason why you think the post is rule breaking, and then it gets sent to a magical place where the staff will handle it if it needs to be handled. We're not Nexon in that regard.
