yes it is, maybe I want the dog dead, maybe I want live target practice.
Not funny. At all.
And if it wasn't meant to be funny, that's even worse.
I feel bad for the dogs. They should have at least been able to die peacefully.

The documents reveal bookings for dog sled tours collapsed after the Olympics, and when the company could not find homes for its animals, it ordered the cull. The dogs, which were part of a pack of 300, were shot over two days last April.
The company did try, and I can understand why they didn't euthanize them with a lethal injection, since it costs even more money that they don't have, but it's still saddening how they killed the dogs.

This reminds me of seal clubbing, now that I think about it. :(

I cried. I would've happily bought the dogs from him.I've never had a dog,and I know it must be wonderful to have one around. Taking away precious life because of problems with the business is something I loathe completely. He could've resorted to atleast proper, peaceful methods of euthenization instead of cruel and unusual treatment by blowing their heads off,but he chose not to,and that is the epitome of my hatred

Not any different from seal clubbing or dolphin fishing. They're both incredibly smart animals.
Cows and Pigs are very smart too. VERY smart.
Ever see how they're killed? I'd rather get my head blown off than go to a slaughter house.
Suck it up and deal with it. Euthanize them? The problem was that there were no resources. You have any idea how expensive euthanizing is?
Though in my honest opinion if the crisis was that bad I would've put the dogs to work. Dogs can work. They definitely can do good work.
Or turn them to meat. I'm no dog eater but if the situation was so bad that you decide to kill them all, then that's definitely an option and they don't die for nothing.
