I've filed not one, but two tickets to Nexon. The second was prompted by GM instruction posted on the Nexon forums.
Like many others I've sat around for two weeks now, unable to play on my main. In that meantime I've played on some alts, browsed the forums, and tried my best to just wait. So far that hasn't proven very productive.
A friend gave me a suggestion on a possible fix, which I have tried and not succeeded at. But it gave me some new ideas, and I wonder if anyone else might be able to take this idea, and perhaps succeed with it, or come up with a better idea through discussion and collaboration.
First off, if you disapprove of the use of mods or otherwise breaking the Nexon ToS, just don't post at all. There is plenty of places for you to express your opinion elsewhere.
Second, No I won't show you how to mod or where to get mods, as those are against the ToS of this site. It may be bending the rules to discuss them in the depth I intend to in this thread, but I hope for a bit of leeway in this manner due to the intent.
Anyways, the method a friend suggested I try is to first make use of "mods" that allow the use of the data folder. Then replace the itemdb file in that folder with an old copy of the file from before g13.
The rational behind this suggestion is that the itemdb file more or less is a list of items in game that your client recognizes. If this list is out of date and you encounter an item not found on it, your client tends to crash. This is usually a problem whenever a new gen comes out with new stuff, as npc shops, player shops, and so on become sources of disconnecting you from mabi.
However, since the current problem seems at least somewhat similar (an item in character's inventory not being properly recognized by mabi's normal itemdb is the hypothesized problem) forcing the client to use an itemdb that properly recognizes the old blue coupons might allow the character to log on properly.
Of course, if that player comes into contact with any of the new g13 items, it would cause a discconect. But at the very least, the player would be logged on, and able to potentially deal with the blue coupons in his/her inventory in the manner of their choosing, thus curing themselves of the glitch. The mods could then be removed, and the player would be able to enjoy mabi like everyone else.
However, after trying this out... there was no change to the login behavior of my main character. I've since removed the mods and returned to a completely clean client (and still glitched).
Does anyone have any ideas on a different way to approach this, either using a similar idea, or perhaps a completely different one?

This is a server sided issue.
We can't do a single thing about it unless Nexon decides to fix it.

it's likely due to the fact that nexon's coupon prize database got screwed up somehow. i compared itemdbs for a pre-g13 and the current, and both entries for "blue coupon" are identical, though some other things in the itemdb are a little messed up. some things, for instance, are now set to be undyeable when they were before g12.
in any case, just have to wait for nexon to get off their asses and fix it. :/

I have decided to file a ticket today.
Another week has passed and still no fix - it's already been 3 weeks.

older .xml files don't work on newer versions of mabi, most of the times it makes the client crash when you load your character or log in. That's why modders have to update their .xml files every time a patch is released.
One way to do it would be open the new file and look for the entry and switch it to the old.
tl;dr: just replacing it doesn't work

I have no idea what these blue coupons are, but I came up with an alternative idea with your train of thought.
Could it be that Nexon forgot, or discarded, the code that recognized what these blue coupons are?
Edit: Not sure if that's clear. I meant for the servers to have lost it.

The blue coupons are a 1x2 item (takes up two spaces horizontally) that you recieve when you redeem a code at any banker in the game. Codes are recieved most commonly now from the two mystery box events that have happened, but also when GM's award prizes to mini-events they run, such as the trivia event they attempted to run in the live xfire chat.
the blue coupon details what item will be received when the coupon is used. Using it replaces the coupon with the item intended for you via the code. In my particular case, the blue coupon in my inventory is for the enchant White Horse (rk7 clothing only suffix, personalizes the item, enchant scroll itself is untradeable as well).
As for the bug itself, not sure what the problem is. I can't look at the code obviously. It could easily be server-side issues for sure, and it could even be unrelated to the blue coupons entirely. It just seems that everyone affected has one in their characters' inventories that are locked out.
Since the actual symptoms of the glitch seem to involve something in the process of logging into the world on a character, the guess that it is server-sided seems pretty accurate. My guess is that when the server is sending the information to your client about all your saved info, including skills, posessions, and so on, that it comes to the blue coupon, doesn't recognize it, and can't proceed along it's program anymore.

I know Looloo's character is knocked out and hasn't even able to rebirth to destiny yet, meanwhile she's on her Elf aimlessly doing nothing >.<

A lot of people that I did TMs with are locked out of their accounts, so it's sort of annoying of a long time that they're taking to address to this issue..And having to spam TMs solo and less chance for end chest drops...
