Alright, so I have 2 characters: a human and a elf
The builds I'm thinking of for each are as follows:
1) Human: melee and magic
2) Elf: Range and alchemy
My reasoning:
Humans can combine melee and mage for effectively and now that fusion bolt is out, the need for the "spamable" ice spear has decreased (not needed?)
Elfs are obviously good for range but with alch, I think barrier spikes would help at high ranks and golem would be good when range can't be used (albey blue?). They're also both clay alchemy :D
I would appreciate some general advice e.g. whether these are good builds, which stats to train, etc.
So far my plan looks like this:
Human (dustin 2h maxed upgrades, and dual glads, normal thunder wand): (animal taming to c just so i can do g8) wm r1,crit r1, smash r1, assult slash (to rank where the distance will never be too great after a smash), carpentry r1, 2 bolts to high rank, thunder to high rank, (might get FB and get to good rank), refine (i put last because none of the stats above raise dex)
Has pally and demi
Elf (llb 3 red upgrades, cylinder): (animal taming to c) wm r1, refine r1, crit r1, magnum r1, (range current B might go to 9 for CS), barrier spikes r5, golem r9, clay alch and alch mastery r9, life drain?
Has falcon
My play habits are: work for 2 weeks on each character, an rebirth every 3 weeks on each (make its so its almost like 2 weeks instead of 3 for rb)
So some general question that would help me greatly are as follows:
1) Which two bolts should I rank for fusion?
2) earthquake cylinder for elf? (no neg of life drain?)
3) Crash shot worth it? (will high rank magnum splash work similar?)
4) any other good alchemy to be paired with range?
5) good builds in general?
6) good choice of progression? (not too high ap)
THANKS FOR THE HELP!! :D any advice would be appreciated!
