Pffff WHO USES ENCHANTS?
I do.
Instead of using Rainbow, use Lizard or Stiff for critical, and then use Caliburn for the suffix. If you have a steady income of cash, then you may as well do Goddess Caliburn for the damage. Spike is harder to get, but it's well worth the risk. If you don't have protections pots though, I wouldn't really recommend this. Getting Beholder Swords or War Swords is a way to get some damage also without enchants after upgrading them. Cheaper versions of them can be Broad Sword that follow the 222 upgrade path, or perhaps Gladius if you don't have the enough dexterity to balance out your damage. You'll need the balance to hit closer to the higher max damage anyways. But the Beholder and War Swords are harder to get, and if you want to boost the critical whilst having decent damage, go with Stiff Lizard on each sword.
You'd need to use a Stamp first, and then do Spike if you want to use that though. If you can't afford enchant protection pots and don't have the patience to try if you fail enchanting it, then I wouldn't recommend using Spike. Though, it helps with the less repair cost if you use something around Lizard Spike instead of Goddess Caliburn. Goddess Caliburn is just easier to get, long as you stick to the mainstream. The only penalty you'd get is the 10x repair though.
It probably would hurt to repair at things around 95%, because most people might not want to enjoy having their only weapons or hard worked weapons with rarer enchants on it to break faster. I at least go to a 97% to repair expensive weapons, and it's pretty fair for the damage produced off the combinations of enchants.
I use Lizard Caliburn, and Round Burning hat, with Diamond Hard Peaca Boots.. Hard Peaca is a good replacement for Raven, as it doesn't destroy your defense completely.
If you want damage, try getting one of those 12+ damage Valencia armors for around 1~2m depending on the server. Then perhaps, you could put Imp as the suffix to boost up some defense that you've lost through any Raven that you are using. Eg: On weps or still using Raven Boots since Hard Peaca is one of those enchants that are harder to get.
Though, pick enchants that'll suit your needs, balancing them out, perhaps. If you want damage, then stick with mostly damage. Try balancing damage out with critical as well, because more critical > Having higher max damage, since it does more anyways.
Critical provides a steady base for much higher the damage, so if you haven't already, get Critical to Rank 1, and then rank skills that give you Will, and perhaps cheap enchants such as Joy that are less of an enchant risk as Thief items. And anyways, Thief will -15 HP for luck with is critical, and you may not want that if you're focusing on having more defense whilst using Ravens. Though, the best option you could do is Rank Defense to 1, or have accessories that add defense with + defense enchants on them. They are very tedious to repair if you wear them a lot, and even more if you use one of the 10x repair enchants.
Get enchants that suit what you need, first getting the less risk level enchants, then as you slowly make your way through the game more, you'll probably find an enchant/item to burn off and use and take the risk. In the end, the risks are well worth it if you can be patient with them.
