My Dad just brought home a desktop from work, but he is convinced that downloading Mabinogi will give the computer viruses (I can't change his mind there). So, I'm wondering if playing Mabi off of a USB would be any "safer" for the computer; for example, is Mabinogi actually running off of the USB? In that case, I might be able to convince my Dad to let me play off the USB :P

It has to be launched off the web site now so idk about using a usb since it uses your mabi downloaded files from your computer to play the game.

Well I usually launch manually anyway, and it still works, and I have launched Mabi off of a USB before (before Web launch), so I'm hoping it will work. I'll try just to make sure :P
EDIT: Yup, it works form the USB, and the only trace i can see is a shortcut on the desktop

Mine is stored on a 2GB USB, but I'm pushing it; at the game start window it tells me that the "hard drive may be out of space".

If he's technologically challenged enough to believe video games = virus then he'll believe running it off usb is safer.

4GB is fine.
I ran the game no problem on a 8GB drive in libraries.
