I went to sleep last night after a party, and I was too tired to move this body pillow so I just slept on it. Now I'm up and awake and I can't unhinge my jaw. If I shift my jaw a little to the left however, I can unhinge it. I have braces, but I'm not sure that they affect the jaw. Who should I go see? The dentist or the doctor? I'm guessing the dentist.

The Doctor.
Your jaw is a bone and a dentist only works with the teeth

i have a feeling that if this isn't a recurring problem of yours, you're likely fine. i've had tmj for a few years and even then it sort of went away on its own. my jaw still crackles on the right side when i open wide, but there isn't any pain anymore. -- basically, don't fret too much, it's likely not going to randomly seal itself shut anytime soon, i'd just try sleeping on the opposite side tonight, or massaging in slow circles along your jaw joints. that's helped me in the past~
if the problem persists, then i'd see a doctor, but like someone mentioned i think you just slept on it funny.

Yeah, I figured that I slept on it weird. Still kinda freaked out though.
