Ok so after I'm done with sword matery and combat mastery I'll have 30 balance on swords, so how much dex do I need for 80%?

1% = 4 dex
80% = x
x = 320 dex
since you only need 50% more. 200 dex for 0% balance swords
Not counting with the weapon balance that is
And to be precise. r1 CM and sword mastery adds 37% balance

With r1 Sword Mastery and r1 Combat Mastery... that's 37% balance, his sword is 30% balance so that pools up to 67%, so he needs 13% more. 4 x 13 = 26 more dex.
So to get 80% balance with r1 Sword Mastery and r1 Combat Mastery, you just need 26 dex more.
You will easily get that by ranking refine, range, etc.

Actually, R1 Sword and R1 Combat Mastery grant 33.75% balance (30 from direct balance and 3.75 from dex-based balance).

Also counter and, if you choose to rank it up, evasion will give you another 19 dex. Leaving just 7 that you'd need from skills outside your class-bracket. However it's always advised to rank up refine (asap) in case you ever decide to rank up ranged skills... refine will be a pain if you don't rank it up Before your get high dex. With that said, if you do already have it ranked, you could also just rank production mastery for the remaining dex as well as a nice pool of stamina.

Balance = (Dex - 10) / 4 + CombatMastery + SwordMastery + Weapon
For a human:
Combat Mastery at r1 adds 15% balance and +10 dex.
Sword mastery at r1 adds 15% balance and +19 dex.
An age 10 human at lvl 1 has a base 10 dex or 39 dex with r1 combat and sword.
Which leaves you with needing 26 more dex for your 30% balance swords as Kenero said.
However, at age 17 the human at lvl 1 has a base dex of 25, which would only leave you needing 11 more dex.

If you rank Range Mastery to rA, you get like +14 dex for 24 AP.
Although, it is better for a person's future to do refine first.

It is also important to note that refining only needs to be gotten to r5. Or rather, you only really need to train up r6 so it's ready for r5. At that point, even though failures speed up training from 5-1, you do not
need failures for the final 5 ranks. After r6 has its minimum training done, feel free to work on skills with better dex/AP, like weaving or ranged attack.

look at the training methods for rank 2 again more closely. If you add up the exp for completing every other method available except mythril fails, you'll come up with 98 exp. You do need to fail 2exp worth on mythril to get to rk1.
That said, getting more than 2 exp worth of fails cuts out large amounts of iron or copper successes needed. Having low enough dex to fail more easily at mythril is a lot less work than succeeding 100's of iron and copper.
