I started generation one on my human as soon as I started, it took me a long time to finish cause I didnt do it actively, but I would recommend you just start it and then finish whenever, I dont get what you mean by a good time to finish...Just do what you can when you can....

Ideally, as soon as you can. If you want the enchant, or are looking to become a Royal Alchemist, then you should really do it as soon as you can. If you don't care about any of those, then just skip it and do G2 for your transformation. Either way, you want it out of the way as quickly as you can so you can get Pally.

Start it now. Finish it within a couple weeks (tops) :) Just get help from people when you can. G1 has been nerfed a lot within the past few patches so it shouldn't be hard. Finish it asap and get through G2 so you can get you transformation skills!
edit: Yeah, don't skip it... the title is fancy and you never know if you're going to need the journal points you get from completing it.

Start it when you have friends that are willing to help you, and have an understanding of the controls in the game well.
Everyone regrets skipping it in the end, because then they gotta buy the Goddess enchant when they need it more in the future. Do it as early as you can, with a few friends that can help you fill for the RPs and final dungeons.

XD Well I don't know if that's really the reason in most cases... but yes, you will regret it if you skip it.

Do G1, get goddess es.
Sell goddess es, use that money to fund G2 when you have to do ideals.
sell goddess es for at least 150k, so you can pay 10k/ideals. (there are 4 towns to find ideals with 3 per each. thus 12ideals total).

Lol a good time to start it? Saturday.
A good time to finish it? Saturday.
Real answer is start it asap and finish it asap. You'll have to wait till Saturday to do a certain part of it though.

Agreed, but doing it at your own pace is most important.~

Ok, I see it everywhere, but what does "QQ" mean?
And on the subject of funding for Ideals....really? You actually charge for Ideals? Come on, that's just being a jerk
Also, I would say don't sell the Goddess enchant. It's a decent enchant for a beginner. What you should do is, at the end of the quest before the final dungeon, Dougal will give you the Goddess Medal and a Red Wing of the Goddess to go to Albey dungeon (which is right up the road from you), Keep that feather and sell that. It still sells for 100-150k.

You might have been lucky to have friends/friendly strangers to help you with ideals, but vast majority of the people either buy their ideals or beg for ideals and be pointed as a noob.

Strangers will probably go for it with money being involved in the process..
Usually the way higher levels are busier to help people, but sometimes make time for free ideals. I usually on a character when I'm afk, set up a free ideal spot somewhere and sit there giving a free ideal while afk with a party up saying "Free <Insert NPC name here> Ideal" if I have the time to.
