  Ohai. I randomly felt the need to post one of these in order to get some critics from my fellow artists, since there seem to be few around here. I've been drawing since I was 10, but.. I was never very good, lol. I've only recently gotten to a decent level, so don't expect random masterpieces. I have only recently began working on shading/coloring techniques, so bare with me.

  Ye~ah.. the art is messy due to me not having a tablet, mainly. I do it all by hand, no line-tools or anything. And Paint.NET is a tad limited in terms of drawing line-art. Etc etc.
  The main advice I'm looking for is, of course.. anatomy, coloring/lineart tips.. that sort of thing. What you see above is the only thing I'm good at. Anything below the shoulders is a disaster.

  I can comment on the shoulders bit. He doesn't actually know how to draw them correctly, he was looking for help in that department.

  Basically what Ithi said. Faces --> necks is about all I can cover without wanting to erase the whole thing, heh.
  It took.. an hour and a half. Though I was also doing a few other thing at this time, so let's say around 50 minutes total.

  Lineart: Ive lined with pdn's line/curve tool before. It took a while, but it came out okay imo and its a really useful tool when you get used to it. I just think it gives a neater feel /ramble

  Coloring: again, the line/curve tool is my buddy. I use this method: [link]

  • You've got the basic idea of the shoulders down, it just needs a bit of fine tuning C:
  The curve where the neck meets the shoulders should be a smoother transition, otherwise it'll look like they have bulging neck muscles... and thats not attractive lmao;;
  
  • Like i wrote above, the width of the shoulders (starting from the base of the neck) should be around the same width as the head. It doesnt have to be exact, since everyone is built different, but using that as a guide helps. It also keeps the head from looking too big or small compared to the body.
  
  
  Using yourself as a reference helps A LOT with anatomy *nods*

  Anatomy is going to be a main focus of mine right now. Next is going to be shading/general coloring, since I'm still grasping onto it. Thank you. <3

  I'm practicing a lot with lineart and such lately (mainly creating lineart for other sketches just for the sake of getting used to making my own), so I'll post an updated piece sometime soon... eventually.
