Both titles are +10 aren't they? Lol if one's +10 dmg and one's +10% I'd say the % one then which is fire mastery. I can't provide proof as I'm not an alchemist... I can however tell you that at 5 charges base damage is around 300 per hit... 300+10% = +30 per hit vs 300 +10 per hit.

S (BLUE) Upgrade stones are typically best. They add set damage with and without critical to each hit (which flamer deals 5). With red you're only getting damage when you critical hit. The amount of damage you do consistently with blue stones will out damage the damage you do 30% of the time with red stones... I don't have the thread link on hand, but I know that blue was proven more useful with thunder (which hits multiple times too) at 5 charges than red. (Thunder also ignores protection, so crit will also always be 30%... so I think that should apply here too)

Generally I find Red Upgrades better for things like Flame Burst. Flame Burst is really only good when it crits, and I tend to capitalize on it. Heck, with +3 Red Upgrade, you can kill a Spider Warrior/Fighter in Alby Advance with the crits. It feels great to kill 2-3 Spider Fighters caught in flame burst's range and killing them off with only 25 stamina and 5 fire crystals. xD

hmm.. well both titles are good.. to be honest i think fire alchemist is a good one, i use it w/ my water/fire cressida set and my volcano cylinder when i do The new kings request hardmode
volcano cylinder should be +dmg upgraded

Now, r1 AM(15%), r1 FA(10%), FA master title(10%) fire enhancment cressida set(15%?) and volcano cylinder(36%?)
80%'ish flame burst dmg
Get 'Hot' on the boots, 'spark' on the gloves, 'flaming' on your hat, two 'Heated' accs and 'Explosive' on you suit

i honestly think the masteries should add +water/fire/wind/clay base dmg too
You should make two Vol cylinders, one S type and one R type, S type for basic-int-adv missions and R type for Hardmode missions, bcuz when flame crit's.. it crits hard!

The more damage you have the better the fire alchemist title is.

If you have a perfect Fire set (all the enchants), and a volcano cylinder then fire Alchemist title is better. If your still working on your set then The master of Alchemy title is better.
