So, i quit around g11, got board and only played once every month or so to level a bit before rebirthing.
Im at a total level of just over 1k, which has created problems for me. Mostly, its the incredably difficult g11.
If i remember correctly, i was at Buchanan in the Shadow Realm mission, barly having passed the last one with the horrible ai of cai and lemore. I am mainly a melee character, but recently started branching into magic. I know there are some new melee masteries that i should probably pick up, and then some new melee skills, but i was wondering, is there anything i can do to make g11 hardmode easier? I really really miss nao support.

You could rank up masteries for whatever you use and hold off on finishing G11 or... you could buy a lot of nao's and hope for the best.... or, and I recommend this more lol you could start ranking up a mastery and find a royal alchemist to assist you anywhere that they can. Use the guide on wiki to figure out what to do ahead of time, plan, and bring potions to everything and of course a few nao's wouldn't hurt... although this is just a general/logical plan :P

Monsters in that mission are single aggro except for archers and wizards.
You can smash and kill the archers first whenever you see them and use windmill as last blow, and smash or N the wizards first whenever you see them spawning.
There's quite a bit of time in between finish and starting on the next monster for skill loading if you do that.

If i remember right, the only problems i had were with archers, wizards and random lag spikes.
I remember i always had my pet out, and pretty much wm spammed, while using my pet to cover the stray archer.
When the wizards spawned, i instantly used transformation cause those things hated me with a passion, and focused on smashing it with my pet distracting it.
But the main problem wasnt really the monsters, i think it was more that i couldnt die once or i lost the entire mission, and random lag spikes killed me even after massive bandaid and potion preporation.

Why not do some pet revolver to take off some aggros? You could use a firebolt spam AI pet to spam it afar from you. :D

If by pet revolvering you mean using pets to take aggro off me yes, i already do that, my pets are mercilusly thrown into the faces of archers or wizards.
If you mean using fake death or soemthing in the corner and using my pets to clear the room, that would not be possible, as cai and lemore would be dead by the time i finished the room with my pets pittiful damage.

You got the archers hands down.
For the wizards, I recommend maybe a poisoned weapon. I didn't have too much trouble, since r6 Evasion helps quite a bit for me against them.
Skill-locking also works wonders against wizards, but... yeah, have to be prepared to make that happen.

you claim that you have branched out into magic. in that case, any int magic at r1 should make the dungeon into a piece of cake.

i said i was branching out into magic, i dont quite have thunder r1 yet, but its at 8 so far, soon to be 5 after i finish getting to rd sword master, i always was annoyed at having only 78% balance on my broads.
I miss my cousin, r1 icespear and thunder support were the best, too bad his account got locked and nexon is failing at giving him an email change form.
I was thinking i should do lightning magic mastery while i was ranking thunder for less mana use and more damage.

Can you try to play it defensively with windmill to protect cai and leymore?

Ill figure something out, my latest plan involves using demigod, transformation, and rushing through the rooms as fast as i can kill the mobs with spears of light and windmills.
Seems a bit overkill to me, but this mission makes me mad.

There are a couple more hostage missions after this one iirc, good luck to you.
