I'm 12 atm. 'Young.'
So... as the title says:
Is it wrong to like / love someone who is younger than you?
Lets say... you like someone.. .. 2 years younger. Although that's not the actual case; lets go with that.
Is it wrong to love someone younger than you?
I have to go. Goodnight. See this thread tomorrow.

Chances are that a person will love a person who is younger or older than him/her. Never the same. So, it is normal to love a person who isn't the same exact age to the day as you...
Whatever normal is supposed to mean...

the social acceptability formula is the age divided by 2 +7 = youngest person's age you can date
so if you're an 18 year old, the youngest would be 16
12 would be .. wait what? you don't date when you're 12, this isn't ye olde times.
but yes, maturity matters most, not age. But stated above is a more social thing.

I say follow the rule. It's odd, but manages to work most of the time.
(Your age/2) + 7 = Youngest you should date.
(Your age -7)*2 = Oldest you should date.
If you are young enough to have the youngest you should date be older than you, then I suggest you don't date. o3o
EDIT: Mama Ninja'd me. </3

Age isn't an issue if you ask me. At-least in the majority of cases. (I'm not talkin' a 10 year old and a 54 year old.. THAT is different)
What is important if you ask me, is maturity. I know a lot of younger kids who are very, very mature and able to handle relationship with people a bit older than them. However, I see so many teenagers my age with the mental capacity of a grain of dirt.. seriously.
So, it all depends.
I'm attracted to younger people.. but sadly, most of them are complete idiots. (not generalizing.. it really just is like that here) So I end up dating older people.
But that is just me.
When I'm older and I find someone younger, but mature enough for me? Yeah, I don't mind.
Honestly, though, you're a bit young to think about dating.
I fell in love when I was 13, but that was because I was as mature for my age as they possibly come.
Other people like me? I highly doubt it. I was lucky I was that mature for my age. (Which was still a tad childish, since I -was- just a pre-teen).
Concentrate on School. Consider someone when you're my age.
It's honestly not worth it in the majority of cases, unless you want the type of relationship where you're like 'OMG I LUH U SO MUCH' after only a week. Yeah.. no.

3 years is fine. For example if you're 18, if the girl is 15 it's good.
Obviously her parents wont like it at all

The margin of error decreases as you get older. For example my parents are 40 adn 35. Subtract 25 and you get 10 and 15. Basically it's like what Mama and the other said. However it also depends on the person's on preference really.

I go what my boss says.
"If she's old enough to pee"
And I don't see what's the problem
When I was dating my ex I was 15 and she was 13. :P

As long as it's within reasonable bounds, sure. I agree though, mental maturity is a more important factor.
If you want to set an age range for yourself, set it within reasonable, logical limits. Don't let a formula choose for you on what is considered a personal part of your life.

I never heard of that formula before...pretty interesting as it gives reasonable bounds. But yeah, you shouldn't just follow a formula. XD
Honestly the majority of people I've liked in the past have been younger than me, although usually not by much. I've been told that's pretty unusual for a girl, haha.
