Am I alone in receiving this notice today? I get as far as seeing the Avon Title screen with the Start Game button but as soon as I hit it I get Server Cannot Be Reached notice. Sadly I am not the very technical, yet I do not think this problem is related to the recent FTP issue. (though it could be..I just don't know.) I was on last night and even into the early parts of this morning. I even noticed people with working crystal deer. So I am at a loss what could be happening to me.

Maybe login server is down.

Yes that does seem to be the most likely explanation. Though suggestions would be welcome, my
main rationale was to gauge how widespread this problem is. As a note, when I look at the client launcher the version says 74. So I appear to have the most recent update and it worked after the maintenance on Tuesday. I am just confused in that I got a preliminary indication that a guildy was able to log on.

The login server is fine. If there was an issue with it, people would be raging about it all over the forums. It's probably an issue with your connection. :c It should get resolved on its own. Unless you've been messing around with firewall software or the like, that is.

I have tested my anti-virus and Firewall regimen to no avail. Still same Server Cannot be Reached message. I even tried using IE instead of Firefox with predictive result. ~ No Go! I have filed a ticket to customer support~though I do not expect much help there. I am reluctant to try total removal and re-installation of game, for editing the registry is quite a scary endeavor to pursue.
After reading various forum entries here and other related sites, the thought that I could have been banned crossed my mind. Though for the life of me I do not know why that would be so. I do not use mods in any form. I am certainly not that tech savvy to employ them in the first place. I have not received any unusual amount of game gold of late. In fact I am quite poorer than I have been in awhile. Nor have I received any unusual item that I have no business possessing. This problem began after an Adobe Flash update totally failed and semi crashed the computer. The system was restored all the way back to January 26th. The Adobe problem has been rectified after recovery. I have looked in the Nexon folder on system and confirmed that I still have the latest client of 73 through 74. If full removal and re-installation of game is required then so be it. I am just hesitant to do that.

I had the same problem this morning. I had a really old version of the game, which I patched up, and it ran fine after I removed one mod pack, but I got "server could not be reached". I then deleted the excess files off another pack, and then it logged me in, but the character select was completely screwed up.
I ended up just re-downloading, and then patched it manually.
Since you don't use mods and nothing else seems to be wrong, I'd suggest just reinstalling it.

Re-install the client, or refresh your connection.

Well after using the uninstall program and then reinstalling Mabinogi, the situation has been resolved. I can log into the game now and play Mabinogi. I didn't even have to clean the registry as many have advised. What is even better is that now I have music for the Tara area which was always silent before. And though I haven't been to Avon yet, after looking in the mp3 folder, I see music files now for Avon and the Marlowe NPC.
