How do you close the bag of a loaf of bread?
Do you use the twist-tie?
Or do you do the other method of twist and tuck?
Or do you do something different?
I swear, since I was a young kid my parents have always wanted me to use those twist-ties, but I just get annoyed at using them and have always, and will always, just twist and tuck the bag to close the bread.
I don't really think it's better at keeping the bread fresh, but it's sure a heck of a lot more convenient for me.
What do you all do?
This seems like one of those "peek into someone's preferences to understand their personality a bit better" kind of things.
But I just love the convenience of not having to meddle with those darned ties.
(Funny story about twist-ties.
One time while I was helping an Elementary School teacher hold Standardized Test study sessions, she prepared a treat for the class: Kolaches.
She asked me to go to the Teachers' Lounge and heat them up in the microwave.
What I DIDN'T see, was the plastic bag the Kolaches were in had a twist tie closing it...
So a few seconds into the microwaving, I noticed a bright light coming from the microwave.
THE TWIST TIE CAUGHT ON FIRE.
Luckily nothing bad happened and I was able to blow the small flame out, but one of the kolaches got melted plastic on top of it. xD)
I'd really rather just not deal with twist ties. xD

I tie the bag itself.
Best way IMO.

Twist and Tuck.
I hate those little ties every time I use them I see more air in the bag when I twist and tuck the bag.

I beat the bread to submission. Then I either tie it or use twist tie.

Either I eat all the bread or I just get lazy and tell someone else to do it.

I use the twist tie (or those weird plastic things with the slot in them) until the bread is about halfway finished. After that i just loosely knot the bag and go about my business... bread doesn't last long in my house anyway so the tie isn't there for long xD

I twist and then put the twist tie on it, then tuck it when I put it away. I guess I have the best of both worlds.

This.
I don't find the twist-tie inconvenient, really.
