Small change in the rules

  Lately, the staff has noticed increased flaming and distaste for other guilds as well as blaming them for the current problems facing the servers. For that reason, a rule has been added.
  
  The new rule states:
  
  

  Do not make accusations of guilds, regardless if they have a thread for recruitment here or they have no clue of our existence. This is either directly making a thread about the problems they may or may not be causing and naming them, or by implying otherwise. The actions that are causing the problems are caused by individuals, not the guild as a whole, so don't accuse the whole guild.

  Well, if they start to troll forums and such, you should report them nonetheless. I think if one absolutely needed to criticize a guild for its past behaviors, you should warn people of the member who was behaving poorly, since it might be just that one person; not the entire guild.

  But then that would be breaking the rule of not to accuse other people, regardless of if they are a member here or not. Instead of accusing guilds/people of causing problems, just give people a general warning, like saying "People are starting to brownie bomb the channel" or "There's been a lot of scamming and hacking of players accounts lately, so be on the look out for suspicious activity". You can warn people of misdeeds without directly naming people or accusing entire guilds.

  Question,during the brownie bombing, we had videos showing the actions, are those allowed since they do point out the one person, because like, it shows them doing it.

  I feel like it's unfair to the people who were already victims for their actions; If someone scammed you, you should alert everyone else saying that this person is capable of scamming other people as well.
  
  What you're saying is that unless there's definite proof, we can't "accuse" anyone. This'll just create more and more victims. (Who can't do anything about it than to QQ)
  
  EDIT: I'm a living example of this actually...
  Once, I was trying to buy a Zakum Helmet (lol Maplestory) a long time ago. Sure enough, I got scammed, but my warning to the Maplestory Communities probably saved a lot of other people's accounts.
  
  Honestly, the person was really professional, with all the gears and stuff planned out; it was just fake.

  If the video is a how-to do a game-breaking glitch (which you shouldn't be posting anyways), and shows who the person is that's doing it, then don't post it, because, as the rule states:

  If you have a video about people saying that they're going to crash the server, then if you can, edit the names out, then you can post it as "evidence" that the server might crash. If not, try not to post it, and instead link to it, though don't be surprised if the thread gets locked/deleted if it becomes nothing but attacking the player that's giving off the warning.
  
  And Chihaya, I understand, but we tried this out before on Guru when we had a stickied thread for nothing but accusing other members with proof of scamming, and another one listing all of the people that were proven to be scammers. However, it just brought about too much drama because of similar names/people defending the scammer saying it wasn't them, and just nothing but a thread made to attack people that can't defend themselves as it is.
  
  It's no different than threads about people that have been banned. We don't want to take the risk about people attacking others behind their backs, insulting them, and just being nasty towards them. It isn't fair for them since they can't defend themselves, but it's fair for us to turn into trolls to retaliate/insult them?

  In that case I don't think that would be a direct accusation and it would actually help the community.

  I only mention a guild if its a player in that guild I wont BLAME the guild I blame the player then again for certain guilds they prove our statements right and right again though i can see Moppy's distaste for it...
