I was looking on mani wiki and it said:
if you have 0.8 total efficiency (Rank F, 0 Int, no Healing Wand), 100 damage will cost you 125 Mana. At 2.5 efficiency (Rank 1, 0 Int, no healing wand), 100 damage will cost you 40 Mana.
Say u had 200 int with rk1 mana shield. With 100 damages how much mana would it cost?

It will be less efficient than 300 int, and more efficient than 0 int. There is no formula for anything in between because why would you just want to stop below maximum, which is 300 int?

300 INT adds 0.85 efficiency to mana shield, 200 INT would add 2/3 of that?
In my experience, it's better to rank the skill itself than depend on outside boosts... at the very least to r9.

That assumes if the "formula" is completely linear though.
