How much does attack speed really affect killing field bosses?

  After 2 months of trying my luck at killing the big field bosses, I started to wonder how much a full dragon armor set and pets actually boosted how many more hits you got in. One scenario that popped up a long time ago was during DD, I was attacking one with dual daggers and my pets for a good 5-10 minutes by myself before everyone else showed up, but 5 minutes later when it died, someone else got the kill. Obviously this person had a full chinese dragon armor set, but for them to have caught up and then pass what hits I had on the DD means their set boosted their attack speed by 2 or 3 times as much. There were times when the dragon seemed to love running me over and a minute or two where I forgot my pet was dead on the ground, but even with that, for them to get in more hits than me in 1/3 of the time seemed a little far fetched.
  
  I guess that brings me back to my question along with another one, how much does a full dragon set boost attack speed and what pets have the quickest attack speed? Having someone pop up after you've done 1/3 of it health is disappointing, and if I can't manage to find up people selling dragon sets (should've bought one a looong time ago ;-;) I'd at least like to know when to give up.

  Dragon set and perhaps crit daggers + Kangaroo rat as well that is at least around a high level.

  So the rumours go on tarlach a certain GUILD.... we all know supposedly had a hack to get the finish every time regardless of hits...
  
  anyways like i said in a previous thread Me and a nother person got the prarie dragon to 50% hp a certain person comes along attks it with daggers maybe does 5% dmg... and gets the kill and runs off as if nothing happened..
