r1 Alchemy Mastery is a huge boost to Life Drain's knockback damage (About 45% damage increase, as unlike most skills Alc Mastery modifies Life Drain knockback by 3% per rank instead of 1%). That should place the knockback alone at 1305. If someone has the buttload of AP required for r1 of all four elemental alc masteries, that would be an additional 45% (each one would be .75% per rank), which would bring the knockback to about 1710. An additional 10% from the set, depending on when it's calculated would be either 1800 or 1891 damage. All this without factoring in the damage when on a tower cylinder, or even the drain portion of the damage.

Now, I'm excited to start life drain always wanted to rank it just to much things that I want to rank at the time.

With r1 Water, Clay, and Fire Alchemy, r1 Life Drain, and r2 Alchemy Mastery, I can do around 1400 without Cressida. With Cressida, I can do about 1600. Is it worth it? ...Well I'm sure there's at least one situation where it would come in handy.

More damage is always worth it... I don't know why more alchemists aren't enchant/perfectionist crazy as the other classes... at least honor your cylinder and skills with the best damage you can do. Totally worth it to do more damage

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Cressida seems more "endgame" right now for alchemists. If you're an alchemist you should strive to be the best you can be... not settle for RA and assume you're the best :x

I've never understood why people only count the knockback damage as actual damage. Sure, the drain is dependent on your remaining HP, but I assure you that, latency aside, while the wiki says you absorb 450 health at rank 1, the amount taken from the enemy before the knockback is actually much higher. Case in point? Not too long ago, r3 Life Drain and r9 Alc Mastery, while training Life Drain I was able to drain enemies of 800 health before knockback. I did this fully and consistently. My latency is not bad by any means. I also observed I received no more than 390 health, which is in accordance with the wiki, yet a full health monster still went from 800 to deadly during the drain duration, which was 2 seconds at that time. Around that time, my Life Drain was doing about 960-ish damage on the knockback. So with just r3 LD, r9 AM and enough health lost to benefit from the full effect of the drain, enemies were suffering over 1700 damage. I haven't tested my r8 AM and r1 LD yet, but I don't see how a skill that in one charge can potentially deplete an enemy's bar by 3k+ health over the course of four seconds (2.5 secs of prep, 1.5 of drain) while healing the user can be regarded with a mere meh. Yes, the skill is situational, but hardly is it meh.

I'm surprised the outfit is the most expensive set piece, considering that the only places the shoes and gloves come from outside of that event are Taill Defensive Battle Elite endchest (glove) and Offering Elite endchest (shoes), while the suit comes from eiter Offering Int/Hard Shadow Wizard Elite.

I bet everything will just hike up in pricing longer down the line, though, so buying them ASAP would be the best solution...
But they're still so darn expensive.

Yeah. Just imagine without the event lol same for hebona robes.... Birnam set, I can maybe see getting cheaper.
