I have heard from someone that when he slips, it's randomly from 0 - 6, have yet to confirm this.
This is how rumors are started. Unless you think the person you heard it from is reliable, and perhaps provide some sort of source, I wouldn't be posting stuff like this. Everything I have seen so far is that nothing happens when he 'slips'. I have seen him slip twice when I repair, and on my Evie that is 8 pieces of things he is repairing. Nothing has lost durability so far.

Please, how in the god's name am I spreading rumors?
I said have yet to confirm it. That is to make people watch out if it's true or not, I didn't bluntly say, "Slip cost 0~6 durability".
Unless you can prove it's 100% no durability loss, I wouldn't be bother talking down on someone who's just trying to bring awareness.
You are the kind of people who take "not sure true or not" or "opinions" as facts. That is actually how rumors started.
Edit: He asked me to not post, not change my wording.
And like I said, people who didn't bother to read sentence all the way to the end, or simply ignore wordings like "have yet to confirm", "maybe", or "I think" are the exact reason how rumors are started. If everyone follows the rule of taking in exactly what the words say, and not parts or glimpse of it, rumors would have never started. Like the whole "Crit Hit CAN be a hinderance more than help" mess, if people can look more carefully and pay attention to the CAN (hell, it's even single quoted in the original post), people would have known it's only an opinion, not fact.
Sorry for derailing the topic, but it just really pisses me off seeing people taking opinions as fact, and start a whole freaking drama over it.

It's not how a rumor spreads, it's how a rumor starts. Someone reads this, and just assumes it's true, and tells his friends.
Succ is only saying that you should clearly mark it as an opinion or say it in a way that makes it seem like it may be more untrue.
/ontopic
I had an enchant fail badly, and I lost about 5 dura on my shield. :/

I was only pointing out that one shouldn't be randomly posting things without some sort of credibility behind it. You heard X, but want to go tell, or I guess warn people that repairing will mess up equips. Ok, I guess I get that.. and like I said, that's how rumors get started. Collect the facts first, or experimenting a bit more. Of all the posts I have read on the NX forums related to repairing, I have yet to see someone provide evidence that it does lower max durability.
So far I have done quite a few more repairs and I assume everyone else is, but I have also started to noting down prices. My stuff have yet to lose durability. Also. Prices are not linear, and actually vary, but I have yet to figure out to what degree. I am wearing a rose set too, so it might be exclusive to that, or maybe cloth armors in general with different curves for different armor classes. I'll probably test it out on a few armors when I have the time, and it'll take a few days.
Contrary to the patch notes, it seems like it is not always the case that things cost more to repair if you let durability drop. Pieces appear to in general be CHEAPER to repair if you let them degrade more often than not. Things are however, not cheaper significantly.
For example, The Death Crown.
Durability Cost Cost Per Point (CPP)
83/100 517 30.412
74/100 776 29.846
50/100 1482 29.64
Rose Drop Tube Top
Durability Cost CPP
84/100 508 33.866
76/100 762 31.75
67/100 1039 31.485
53/100 1455 30.957
So you're basically saying.... that every speculation shouldn't be said, and only people who have actual proof should talk about something?
Anyway, I still haven't seen max durability being reduced when his hand slips.

His hand slipped twice on my Blooming Staff, and its max durability has not changed. So either I was lucky and both times the "durability loss" was 0, or you just never lose durability when his hand slips, and you lose it otherwise.
