Will there ever be true peace? Where there is no discrimination of any kind and no war? No disagreements?
Honestly I don't think there will be. Even if everyone in this world was grey, looked exactly the same and had the same level of intelligence we would still find something to make fun of people for.
No I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being realistic.

Even then there wouldn't be peace.

It'd be a hell lot better than our current situation though.

Impossible. The only way true peace will ever be attained was that if humans suddenly all have the mentality of a six year old that was never exposed to the evil of the world and never matured.
And then it'll start all over again as children begin questioning things.
There's that generic chaos/order issue too.

i mentioned this in my Religion thread, that Groups (which is what religion is) are the building blocks of society and innately contribute to in-group and out-group biases which gives fruit to prejudice and discrimination, which is the basis for much pain and inequality in the world.
So no, it is not avoidable in any sense of the word, but it can be mediated.

Peace is obtained when you activate Hermes' god power and watch your enemy dance around your units.
It only lasts for a minute though.

Chimpanzees has no religion and they wage war against each other for territory. So do wolves, anything that is living needs resources to live. So even with out religion we will not achieved peace. But we can reach a moment where we don't try to kill ourselves to extinction. That is the best we can do.

As cliche as it is by now, as long as humans exist, there won't be peace among them. People naturally gravitate towards others that they have similarities with, and these form groups, which in turn build up walls between other groups. It's only natural for us to fear what we don't understand due to these walls, and this fear potentially opens up hatred, making peace impossible.
So, true peace is certainly a big no. Tolerance though? Yes, I believe we as a society can learn to hate each other only in our minds and at least learn to get along one day. It's a long shot, but, I think as a concept it's at least a possibility... Of course, the chain will eventually break, but, that's just how nature is, a bubbling crock-pot of chaos...

Other animals wage war on each other also. War is about surviving and obtaining resources at the basic level. Peace is something no animal will ever achieve.
