Abuse?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I went to go see if my Computer 64x bit Xp can now run vindictus (couldn't before, and knowing nexon they haven't done anything to fix this) and For some reason It listed a huge amt of hax and people talking about speeding up and abusing exploits and packet editing... Based on this... Why would i Ever want to play it >.>

(2) Because Vindictus are instanced battles and you won't be playing with hackers if you don't want to.
(3) Because the fun of this game is not from getting the highest level, but to be able to take on bosses using your own skills.

You play a game because you like it, if someone else hacking concerns you so much, then good luck find one that doesn't have hackers.

What is this 'It' you speak of? Sounds like you took a wrong turn at the google results.

Also, that OS will cause headaches over many things. I recommend ditching it ASAP.

whats wrong with it? (i use it) just wondering.. since to get to 7 without destroying all my stuff, i need vista and then i need 7 ._.

(not protecting XP just wondering whats the problems with it)

XP is fine besides the 32-bit and DX9 limitations. XP-64 on the other hand was short-lived and simply isn't well supported by 3rd party developers. Microsoft themselves stopped supporting/updating it in July of 2005.

You don't need Vista to get to 7. Throwing the OS disc in and clicking 'upgrade' is generally considered the worst possible way to migrate to a new Windows OS. You should always do a 'clean install'. You just need to back up your data to an external drive or another system in order to not 'destroy all your stuff'.

As a user of WinXP x64 for several years before moving on to Win7, I have to say that while it is not the best OS, it is probably the only one I know that is most robust against viruses and malware. There were a few times that installing something plain doesn't work because it didn't or couldn't know what kind of OS I was using. I mean it looks like windows but operates kind of .. differently.

Honestly it's not too bad of an OS, just very little support for it from just about anyone.
The game is fun. I haven't ran into anything but then again I have only played for a month.
