Stuck on Alchemy Mastery rank 9

  Sadly I've been stuck on alchemy mastery rank 9. I' ve finish the requirments of attack a same-level enemy using alchemy, defeat a same-level enemy using alchemy, and build a structure or call a helper using alchemy giving me 70% completion. I need to make items by synthesis, or make items through fragmentation, but I have rank novice for both skills making it hard even on Saturdays.
  
  What should I do to surpass rank 9?

  Just grind synthesis.
  
  Buy elemenrtal crystals from Eabha, then just synth them together (3 different elements, i mean).
  Even with rN, you should be able to eventually rank it.
  
  I did kills/hits, synth, and frag for that rank.
  (because I don't call structures that much xD)
  
  But if you choose between synth and frag, do synth.
  
  I have rank 6 frag, and the % is still low. xD
  Synth is just easier, since you can get 50 attempts for 1500 gold by buying 3 stacks of 50 elemental crystals of 3 types (like wind, water, fire).

  Spend a few hours (with as many friends as are willing ot help you) making paper cranes to fragment. I'd reccomend getting at least rank F in those skills if you have the AP though, just for the increase in success rate. Transmutation helps also.
  
  For synthesis, you can buy crystals from Eahba/Dorren, arrows, stacks of paper, or kick posts for gems/nails.

  It's just cheaper to use things like paper and elemental crystals.

  I usually just buy those Wind Crystals and other crystals from Eabha. I just usually synthesize those for the random synth requirements. I usually bought 1 of each type, buy like 50 of them each and stash them up. Then just random synth away without having to hit poles or whatnot for nails and gems and wasting more stamina/time doing so.

  Arrows and crossbow bolts stack up to 200 and would save you even more time for two out of three of your random items. Paper stacks to 100 and is also a good choice. Crystals are just nearby and convenient.
  
  I suggested kicking poles because that is free. And I know some people are ridiculously frugal, and that would be an option for them.

  I usually brought the colored gems from their method and synthed those. If you've got frozen blast, make crystals. You're still at a rank where you only need to make crystals, not mana crystals.

  congratz ^^, now you just have to get past r6 (which is annoying also :S) and it's a easy road to r2..then it gets hard again :S

  rF Synth or rF Frag, either will help you immensely for ranks 9 and 8. From then on, you should be able to get from rank 7 to 2 with just the kill requirements. Synth only requires taking those basic crystals from Eabha and converting them into stuff, but Frag can put to use any excess items you might have from other production skills (Ingots/potion50s/thread/etc.) and reconvert them into items you can then reuse for said skills.

  r6 won't be so bad. From rank 7 to rank 2, all that's required is attacking and killing. But yeah... rank 2's gonna suck.
