^I dont think that ever really happens in shounen manga :what: even if its a temporary fail they always deus ex machina for the win.
for some reason that kind of emotional and plot complexity in a series makes it more of a seinen.

Deuz ex machina are always ridiculous, but they keep things going. Without 'em every main character would die right off the bat lmao;;
But yeah, emotional defeats and anything that starts making it psychological usually fall under seinen

1) Officer Jennys and Nurse Joys already control the world, just nobody realizes the Jennys ARE the law, and the Nurse Joys have a monopoly on medical facilities around Japan.
2) Because, they need to reset his team's level so he doesn't destroy the next region's gym leaders.
3) Brock is a beast. I'm sad they replaced him.
4) Many kids would cry that day.
5) Yeah, why the hell is Ash still 10? In Best Wishes, it even says at the start "Satoshi, Age 10" He's a time paradox maybe?
6) Every region.
7) Yeah, it was good a long time ago, but now they're just meh. At least there's usually some promo giveaway because of it though.
8) Nope. They dropped the "gotta' catch em' all" catch phrase a loooong time ago.
9) Magnemite.
I was really bored when I wrote this reply.

Very interesting. I'm not familiar with manga types really. I just read/watch what I like :D. It would be cool to see a seinen pokemon series then:XD:

There are tons and tons of things wrong/don't make sense/questionable with the Pokemon anime, but I like it all the same simply because it has some creative plotlines in certain episodes and because of childhood nostalgia. =D
