Just Asking For my friend, he is willing to stay as chaos knight because it looks best of all.
If I train human, I would get Infra Black because although they lose hp while they detrans (You can detrans right away though) I can still charge advanced magics which requires lots of MP.

People who say the random rolls screw it up don't know how to change their play style to fit their roll.
Usually it's more like this: the people who say random rolls screw it up don't have inherently high base stats already and thus can't get along with the randomness.
I've said it before and I'll say it again -- Dark Knight is the endgame transformation. When I trans, I just keep doing what I was doing before. If my stats happened to roll high in favor of my current skill use, great! If not, well, I'm transformed and they're still higher than normal, even if it's a low roll, so no worries. A lower-level player with lower base stats couldn't take the potential loss of stat gain that casually.

I'd prefer to stick to Pally for stability, but I now understand why some people might want DK.
Especially people who are constantly in pot poison all the time. It's actually beneficial for them to be DK as they can prolong transformation with constant drinking of HP pots. Also, since they are in pot poison, what I heard is that the effects of potions are 3 times what they are (can't check wiki to confirm, feel free to point out if this is right/wrong) and if that particular day gives extra potion effect one 30 hp potion gives 180 HP.
The maximum bonus for Level 6 Potion Poisoning + Friday 150% potion effectiveness bonus is Potion Effectiveness x3.5, total. My MP100's are capped at +350 MP on Fridays while in Level 6 Potion Poisoning. An HP30 would give
HP +105, assuming the formula holds true for all potions.

Also another benefit is DK gets all 3 passive defenses activated, but pally only get one.
This isn't true. Pallys don't only get 1 P.D. activated. Often, I've gotten all 3 of mine activated or 2 of em a lot. And speaking of P.D., Pallys get better Heavy Stander, but Dark Knights get better Natural Shield, and Mana Deflector. What I don't get is........how come pallys don't have an extra skill? I'm sure we could have one, and that wouldn't overpower us at all.....Also, why do we ONLY get 50 will?! If Pallys are supposed to be for range as well, we should get more crit than a measely 5%....

DKs are
guaranteed all three. Paladins are only guaranteed one, but it's perfectly possible to have more than one activate, and higher ranks in Spirit of Order and PD skills could increase activation rates such that they rival those of DKs.

I love how all the Paladin transformations look. DK-Infra is just so ugly!!! Like who wants skin tight, muscly, black tar all over them? /hurls

Hm, I went to the dark side because of the sheer, awesome randomness of the stats. :)

I used to be a full hybrid on my old character, and he was a DK so I could switch to whatever battle style I wanted for optimal use of the random stat rolls. Now my new character is a Pally temporarily since my new character is full melee until I reach rank 1 WM. Then it's on to Refine and Magic, and eventually ranged. When I hit the magic part, I'll just go DK since Range rolls increase my balance if it's not 80% by then. :3
I don't really like Infra Blacks that much, they look... too formorish and bare. I'm just sticking with rank 2 Chaos, thank you.

I already did the calculations for me...
and extra 6-10ish max damage and LESS min damage than pally for all around isn't appealing to me.
I prefer my stability and my defense.
When I pally i look forward to the stats i get. Not hope i get a roll a certain way i want.

I just went DK because that was when everyone was going DK. I don't regret it; I like the high HP, Mana, and potential trans-lengthening that I can get. The other stats are just bonuses.

Incorrect; Paladins who have completed the passive defense quests are not guaranteed
ANY PD activation when they transform. My alt Roll is a Paladin with passive defenses, and I've transformed her numerous times without getting any of the three. It's very, very possible for a Paladin to get none of them.
Also, Infra Black is win. Before Dark Knight was released everyone was like EWWWW INFRAS ARE FUGLY. Once they started walking around in-game, I heard a lot more people changing their minds. There's still a good number who think Infra Black is ugly, but it was pretty funny hearing half the naysayers going "hey that's actually pretty cool."

i went dk for the passive defense (the day they came out). now if i had to go dk, it would be for the crit and for the potential of infinite trans, also the restriction from them to use life drain in dk will be lifted in the future (or so i heard it was in korea), so no real downside to dk with my already high base stats.
the huge amount of hp is also awesome (already got over 1,6k hp).

I went infra mostly due because of the PD and also im a hybrid so it dosen't matter what roll i get.
Plus infras look like a freaking demon
