First step!

Yush. Contrary to some random dude's belief, I do start with a blank canvas. >:l
I start with a verrrry large canvas because I work in raster, and it's not pleasant to try to resize raster pictures to make them bigger, unlike vector.
Second step!

I have pretty much noooo idea how it's going to look in the end, but I know he wears red and black, so I take the default pressure paintbrush and screw around for a bit, erasing here and there until I like the shape. Looseness is good at the beginning, I think..
Third step!

Augghhhh, what is this, his hand is a claw and his face is kind of scary. Well, I started using the color white again, filled in a head shape, a hand shape, made buttonz, gave him some hairs. Staying loose! I go crazy with the eraser, then I repaint, erase most, repaint, erase a bit, etc etc.
Fourth step!

So here I start to size the brush down a bit, giving him quite a smug expression. I pause to laugh at the expression for a couple of minutes. Anyways! Buttonz = more defined, and then I started making his coat furry, I like painting fur collars and stuff. Moved the top button over a bit. Made a sheep pocket. Laughed at sheep pocket for a while. Oh also: drew in a neck.
Continued in second post! :3
