So with the whole double skill training that arose today
I managed to finish my refine atleast the mithrill fails for r2
So know with refine, windmill, animal taming all finished
I can stop worrying about dex and cp and start ranking skills to enjoy my fantasy life:2thumb:
Now the question comes
Which is better to start with ranking first
I have a little over 550 ap stored from the saving up over my lazy days
Am thinking of either starting in melee or range first then branching off into the other later
So which seems the better choice to do first?
Also which skill shares better sync with alchemy skills?

First of all, congratulations! :)
And I personally think you should start with Melee!
Range requires ammo. Melee just requires a pair of weapons (or a weapon + shield). And there's many nice skills to combo with when you're Melee. Leap Attack, Smash, Windmill, Charge.
Not trying to hate on Ranged users, but people like those need a lot of DEX to really strong. Melee just depends mostly on the damage of their weapons. Broadswords are pretty good now that you've finished Refine. With R1 Sword, you should get 80% Balance easily.

range sync better with alchy skills
but i would recommend melee if you want fantasy life instead of [s]fantasy[/s] life skill grind.

Elf: Range

Go melee unless you love Life skill grinding.
Although, with the 2x life skills prof, you should life skill grind...

WAAAAAAAAAAY easier to start with Melee.
Way easier.
Range requires ammo (already mentioned), lots of dex to do decent damage (pretty hard to acquire for beginners), and screws you over at close range.

I'd say melee, because the extra Dex and Balance through the skills you'll train to Rank 1 will end up supporting your Range in the end, such as Windmill which provides Will which provides Crit. Plus, Range misses sometimes, and the extra HP and Defense from melee skills will definietly save you there.
Plus if you start on Range, it's harder to do because you'll need a decent amount of Dex on an human to actually deal a bunch of damage. And if you miss, that's a no-go if you're a human, since you risk walking to load your Ranged Attack and whatnot.

I think you'll want to go melee first and get arrow revolver at least. That's what defines a human archer imo.

Melee >:D Way easier to become better at than range, since dex can be as high as 600~700, but takes 70x the effort that it takes to get maximum str.
