So who else will be watching? This and the Euro Cup are the only sporting events I ever watch. I mostly just watch for Portugal, but watching such a huge competition in my favorite sport is fun regardless of the team.
Only thing I'm pissed off about is that in their first match, Portugal is facing North Korea... I didn't even know those idiots were allowed to participate in such things, especially with recent events.
Here's the current calendar for it.

I might watch a few games, but I don't enjoy watching sports on TV very much. I usually just watch the NHL playoffs and the Grey Cup which both mean lotsa nachos.

I'll be watching, and my brother is extremely hyped about it. He's rooting for South Korea. They might have a chance, cause they still had that one time when SK got 4th place.
Edit: WHAT. North Korea is allowed to do that!? Grrrrrrr (I hope NK wins so SK can kick their arses)
jk. I hope they lose to portugal. But that's pretty obvious.

Which one, I was talking about 2002. Home-team advantage ftw.

I think that's the one, when portugal played korea, in korea.
The ref made so many inappropriate calls there was even news articles about it (it wasn't just angry fans making it up).

American stereotype alert!
I might watch some highlight reels if they get uploaded to YouTube. Or if someone does
this. But soccer just can't hold my attention.

I completely understand where you're coming from on the inability to hold attention, but no one needs to do a Twilight Spark to do it, when a
Zidane Headbutt will suffice. Soccer is only fun to me for the Spanish speaking announcers and any fights that break out during the games in the crowd. The game itself is just too slow and dull for my tastes.
