I hate hourly events

  Maybe it's also somehow to do with them trying to convince players to go to the event, and most players do want those items ever since they came out.

  I wouldn't be surprised if GM's don't know the rarity of the stuff they wear. They probably just pick whatever looks cool and wear it (which is obviously most rare)
